But you (well, not you, specifically) certainly watched it and apparently, liked it enough that it had to be show twice. Another example is that Emran Hashmi’s movies are also popular in Pakistan and they are usually rather crass.

As far as Pakistani’s being closer to Arabs, please google Haifa Wehbe and other Arabic actresses and look at the type of clothing they wear and photoshoots that they do. Do tell what the reaction would be if a Pakistani actress did the same.

There was a serial produced about a girl being a big fan of Emran Hashmi called Main tum aur Emraan Hashmi. If Emraan Hashmi and his movies were looked down at so much why would there be a serial named after him?

I don’t see any cultural similarity between clothing and lifestyle between Arabs and Pakistanis. Yet some people try so hard to make Arabs like them and to be part of the family. There are no widespread protests by Saudis worldwide over recent racist laws in Saudi Arabia. Not sure if much was said in Pakistan either. It’s just accepted.
