traditional indian culture has gone through conservative and modern twists throughout history. In some tribes showing legs is not big deal but in most of India now and in traditional conservative cultures showing legs is more immodest i think. I think with tummy you can strategically cover it with a sari or it can be transparent.
I’ve not seen many older generation women showing tummy but there are some younger ones who do. Then again not everyone is brave that way.
