Re: Indian Cuisine vs Pakistani cuisine
^ it may be that perception as u said, but then they shdn't go to any restaurants for that matter that serve meat! whether or not they realise it, it's a mindset some ppl have.
i had this idiotic girl who made a fuss abt eating at my place coz i cook meat... even tho i kept separate vessels to cook her food in... but she'd eat out at restaurants everyday. go figure..
as far as indian and pakistani places being clean.. i've never seen any difference between north indian and pakistani places, and i don't differentiate between them... but every genuine pure vegetarian south indian resto i have ever been to, i've always found extremely clean. i'm talking abt those udupi style restaurants... the decor may be spartan but the place exudes cleanliness.
as far as food - i'm indian while my fiance is pakistani.. i love pakistani food and relish the meat dishes, while he finds pakistani cuisine too heavy on the stomach to eat daily, and prefers indian vegetarian equally. i guess it's a welcome change for both of us. i was introduced to the wonderful world of nihari and paaye; while he says taht until he tasted my cooking, he never knew vegetables could be so delicious..
