Indian Crowd Behaviour & Responces

As Sanjay Manjrekar said during one of his off the ball comments,

That if the Indians take pride of them selves in knowing the game of cricket and its technicalities, then why would they come flooding to the stadium disappointing the visiting side for not appreciating their efforts and skills. And the visitors being young, hard working individuals who are in some cases touring India the 1st time ever.

2ndly the images of their hypocrisy being beamed down the world over.
Perhaps the crowed in Cochin aka Kochin should stick to watching “Veer Zara” “Border” or “Sarfarosh”.

I’m aware that Shivanji also opened a similar thread and Nikhil25 & Some1 were very quick to Come forward crying wolf.

Who are you Gentlemen? Perhaps the topic was bit too harsh for you to swallow.

Shivanji being an ‘Indian’ on the forum irrelevant of her being male or a female
Does not affect the topic she touches.

Come and discuss it with me if you like

Re: Indian Crowd Behaviour & Responces

Well, this series has really made me proud of the Pakistani crowd. Even the Indian commentators and journalists are using the Pakistani crowd as an example. I think most of you have seen the article entitled “The silence of victory” posted on cricinfo after Pakistan won the Bangelore test. In it, the writer Rahul Bhattacharya gave examples of Karachi crowd and how it roared after the last ball of the game and gave an standing ovation to both teams for an excellent cricket match.

I am not against the Indian crowd, and frankly I don’t care if our team gets appreciaton there or not, but by not supporting both teams, they are making a lot of other Indians feel ashamed.

^^ Ditto, These are the facts. And few people come here on this board and still like to question the author to prove their ethnicity or the gender to make a valid point valid. This was the point that Shivanji was trying to make and was so rudly
intruppted and Mods ‘Locked’ the thread even.

Re: Indian Crowd Behaviour & Responces

firstly its Kochi or Cochin. secondly, bollywood movies dont have much of a market in Kochi. maybe you should save the sermon for lahore.

visitors being young, hard working individuals? tell me - whose performance in the pakistani team was particularly applause-worthy in Kochi? atleast they didnt get booed like ganguly did. the current pak team doesnt have a single charismatic star for the crowd.

also noteworthy is the fact that all too often the ones whining about this are the ones who never have anything good to say about indian performances. quit being such crybabies.

Re: Indian Crowd Behaviour & Responces

^ how appreciative were crowds during Test matches when Pakistan performed much better? Don't just look at last ODI's crowd.

Re: Indian Crowd Behaviour & Responces

At times i feel that paki ppl have started watching cricket only after indias tour of pakistan last year, i think before that there was radio all the way. Thats why most of them have missed stading ovation given to pakistani team by chennai crowd, also most of them are unaware of the charity match that was organised for imran khans hospital wheher paki fans burn the indian flag … pakistani fans charged on the ground …

Re: Indian Crowd Behaviour & Responces

WOW, standing ovation in Chennai  , now Indians are entitled to never clap/appreciate performance from a Pakistani cricketer :k:

Re: Indian Crowd Behaviour & Responces

so during radio days u missed that thing …

Leo

Re: Indian Crowd Behaviour & Responces

guys... guys... like someone said here before... every city has its own crowd - the Mohalli crowd wasn't that bad now... they showed quite some sportsmanship.

I think Calcutta was the worst and Bangalore was somewhere in between.

Re: Indian Crowd Behaviour & Responces

Why do we have to open different threads on one topic?

Re: Indian Crowd Behaviour & Responces

Like I said in my post, I am not against the Indian crowd, so please don’t think that I am saying that ALL the Indian crowd is bad and ALL the Pakistani crowd is good. I am just saying that giving a bit more support to the visiting team will really make it a very enjoyable and competitive series. You know, it’s just weired to have pin drop silence in the crowd when an Indian wicket falls or if a Pakistani batsman hit a boundry (Something that Sanjay Manjrekar mentioned during the first ODI).

Re: Indian Crowd Behaviour & Responces

Hey u being rude here to me:crying:.Pakistan has got the charimatic player in shahid Afridi:love:.Kya baat karte ho ji.get ur facts straight:mad:

Re: Indian Crowd Behaviour & Responces

Captain chennai crowd and the mohali crowd is most sporting crowd in india.well same i said in my thread we r sporting like pakistanis in patches but not as uniform as them.for which someone said that india is vast and diverse.but pakistani population is also diverse and i think geography has nothing to do with crowd behaviour.

Because in the last thread Shivangi was dissed on a valid point and thread topic Saby.
And the thread was abruptly locked without giving the author the opportunity to prove otherwise. This is no way of discussing a ‘Valid topic’ , and mind you, these guys were new with only few posts to their names, meaning ‘seasonal maindak’

Re: Indian Crowd Behaviour & Responces

Radiance u r wrong here in mocking the queer,Pakistan team did get standing ovation in chennai when they won the test there in 1999 and they did the victory lap in the ground, crowd appriciated it and clapped all the way through the victory lap, that too at the time when india and pak were fresh from kargil episode.u can compare chennai crowd that to karachi crowd or much better than karachi crowd also.

Re: Indian Crowd Behaviour & Responces

Extreme high - under some un awaded circumstances ^ Yes!

Extreme lows- under some circumstances when the police is used to vacant the stadium from crowd so that the match can be concluded peacfuly.

It can not be gauged in the same context of present scenario.

Any further points may de-rail the topic here,,, like I said the series is still ongoing and live.
The historians are busy writing the archives.

Re: Indian Crowd Behaviour & Responces

Much better than Karachi crowd? Are you kidding me you shmuck? Karachi crowd actually cheered all the shots and wickets Indians took. Chennai crowd was mostly silent whenever Pakistan did something. A freakin’ joy lap at the end does not give you the right to compare the two crowds. The only good thing the Chennai crowd did was not throw stones like the rest of India does. Really.

Re: Indian Crowd Behaviour & Responces

that right there proves that the rest of your post is full of it too.. there is no bigger star for the crowd than Shahid Afridi in the whole world
