whats up with these weird bollywood songs playing as background score during the news??
news channels heads and their workers need to go back to jounalism school and learn some ethics. this is certainly not quality journalism
how could you possibly talk about grave issues and then music playing behind, isn’t it really insensitive??, like during last year flood, they were playing songs??? it was one of the most disastrous period in the history of Pakistan. that was just totally unacceptable! … that just takes away the gravity of the grave issue. everything is made into a joke, these folks have made a mockery out of journalism, there is just no code of conduct and ethics!
we have enough entertainment already, we dont need these crazy bollywood songs playing behind as background score.
if this continues, we all will become desensitised to news, or perhaps we have already:(
Talat Hussain did a great show on Indian content in our news channels. Finally, someone is speaking out against this!
unfortunetly, I cant find the link to his show, as soon as ill find it, ill put it here
for those who dont know what i’m talking about, have a look at this,
Pakistani media borders on retarded when it comes to Indian content. On the one hand, they play these indian songs as background music, run indian movies every other day, run indian shows, even dramas on their channels, yet when they are discussing something about india, they always refer to it as 'parosi mulk' or 'sarhad paar'. It seems as if just the word (name) "India" is banned....rest all is fair game. There is a channel that shows the famous dance show from India, 'Dance India Dance', and the title of the show has been digitally altered to 'Dance Is Dance'. Who are they fooling? Other than PTV, all channels show indian films, dramas and reality shows. Yet Pakistani channels are all banned in India.
Ary and Geo are by far the worst channels. rest are kinda better(Like Dawnnews). Thank God, PTV has maintained their integrity, they didnt go for these cheap tactics to gather a large audience.
