Re: Indian Air Force to lose Air superiority to Pakistan (merged)
i don't know why pakistanis are getting excited about this.
indian military officials grossly exaggerating enemy capabilities and threats in order to scare the gov't into giving them more money and equipment is nothing new, and will only result in an even wider military gap between the two countries after requests are granted.
it is the same way israeli military officials portray palestinian stonethrowers as a superpower military force on the verge of crushing israel when requesting more money and weapons from the US.
NEW DELHI, Oct 5: India will acquire new aircraft, weapon systems and missiles from next year in a bid to boost the capabilities of its airforce, its chief said on Thursday.
Hawk Advanced Trainer Jets would come from Britain’s BAE Systems Plc and an Airborne Warning and Control System would be acquired by 2007, Air Chief Marshal S.P. Tyagi told a news conference ahead of annual Air Force Day on Oct 8.
A airforce spokesman later told Reuters around 50 Hawks and three AWACS, built by Israel on Russian platforms, would be delivered next year.
Tyagi also said India was acquiring two types of missiles — medium-long range missiles and quick-reaction missiles.
“On quick-reaction missiles all negotiations are over and we are awaiting final clearance,” he said, adding the deal should be signed in a month or two.
Military analysts said India had been negotiating with Israel for the “Spyder” surface-to-air missiles to target low-flying aircraft, helicopters and unmanned drones.
India is also planning to purchase six new flight-refuelling aircraft and is also awaiting delivery of 80 medium-size helicopters from next year, Tyagi said.
Tyagi said the airforce was also looking at buying 20 Jaguars and 20 Light Combat Aircraft from Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd.—Reuters

heheh.. hohoh.. therez nothing to be worry about Indian defence PD. India can buy any plane anytime from anyone across the globe coz India is a totally independent & reputated state and I’m sure you know the Indian Defence Budget compare to PK so i think it should not matter to India what pakistan has got or not…
Re: Indian Air Force to lose Air superiority to Pakistan (merged)
Pakistan air force has historically(from the begining till now) been always very strong. The pilot selection for becoming a PAF pilot is very selective, many people apply, but a very few actually become pilots, and these people are the best of the best. PAF has always had a very good track record with planes. This is one fo the reason that PAF pilots are in demand by many countries to train their pilots.

heheh.. use your common sense buddy and please do survey, Indiaz relation has been always good with every single major responsible country around the globe like US, France, Germeny, Israel, UK, Japan, Canada and ya ofcourse Russia, they always keep themselve ready for the defence deal with India just coz of India’s good relation with them, Indiaz reputation around the globe and ya ofcourse Indiaz History but with Pakistan they atleast think 1000z time before dealing with them that is also coz of Pakz relation with them, her reputation around the globe and ya ofcourse Pakz history. Pak is always dependent on China for each and every defence deal and China could also give dokha to you people anytime in the future coz of major countries pressure..:halo: So buddy now please don’t try to ignore this ground reality

A crisis is brewing in the Indian Air Force and it's about to blow up in the face of the government.
Pakistani air force is being beefed up with 44 F16's from America. China is also supplying Pakistan with J10 and JF17 aircraft.
"Unless immediate steps are taken to arrest the reduction in Indian Air Force's force levels, the nation will for the first time in its history lose the conventional military edge over Pakistan," Air Chief Marshal Tyagi said in a letter to the government.

Re: Indian Air Force to lose Air superiority to Pakistan
Trying to re-invent the wheel (starting from scrap).. it was a step in the wrong direction. Countries who build successfully from scrap, have decades of experience & know-how of how to build such equipment (US, Russia, UK). India does not have either, and thats why it failed (Arjun) and is failing (LCA), even after it received help from several countries. These projects were not only time-consuming (initiated 25-35 years ago), they also were very costly - money which could've been used on something more profitable.
Take China for example. They reverse-engineered Russian engines, and made their own variants of the engine. Indians (with no experience in this field) tried to build their own from scrap (Kaveri). The end result was, the Chinese were successful, whereas the Indians failed.
Now you tell me, which step was the proper step to self production.
I'm glad that Pakistan did not make this mistake - Pakistan did not build AK, AZ from scrap. Both tanks have proven successful, and now Pakistan is moving ahead in this field, with AKII in development.
Re: Indian Air Force to lose Air superiority to Pakistan
Kaveri has nothing that is Indian not even the paint… It is a derivative of US GE-404 designed by Snecma and being tested by Russkies… Forget jet engines they couldn’t even make a piston engine for arjunK and had to import all critical components from Europe.
Re: Indian Air Force to lose Air superiority to Pakistan (Merged)
It is ironic that we are criticizing India like this while we belong to Pakistan. we are not performing even half good as India in most of the fields. gentleman. please put your house in order first.
