Pakistan confident of India touring
The Pakistan Cricket Board has sent the BCCI an official proposal for a short three-match ODI series to be played in Pakistan in March. Though the Pakistan board is confident the series will go ahead, a cramped Indian itinerary means the tour is still not a certainty.
The series has been under discussion between the two boards following the hesitancy shown by Australia in coming to Pakistan as scheduled in March-April. It was decided recently that Australia’s tour - if it goes ahead - would be considerably shortened. Pakistan are now keen to utilise the free period in the first half of March.
“We have spoken to the BCCI about it and the tour is 99% done,” an official told Cricinfo. “If Australia do come, it will not be over the same period as it was before, so we want that period to be used as well. The series will involve three ODIs, and we are aiming for it to start around March 12. For ease, the ODIs will be played in Lahore.”

^Yes, the BCCI just found out that the Indian team had a gap of 6 days in their Calendar.....which would have been such a waste. Well done BCCI. Keep the money-machine cranked up.

Considering that Pak has come out of playig against weak ZIM with a new pakistani players, I think it will be an excellent opportunity to test out players like Nasir, Fawad, Sohail Khan and others.
I am specially looking forward to see Nasir bat against bowlers who have in past done well against lefties of Pak and also wanaa see how BUTT will play against high on confidence Indian bowling or Ishant and Co.
The best battle should be to see young Sohail against Indian batsmen...lets see what sohail is really made of.
Over all, i am looking forward to these as they should be a good way to test youngsters of Pak.
On a side note i also waana see how MOYO is going to performed after being snubbed by IPL.....he has to do Something special to prove his worth, but the way he batted in ODI's in India, it was just pathetic.

They should play a three T20 series. That would be more fun and not as taxing on the wealthy Indians. The baords can call it "Clash of the World T20 Finalists"

I dont think Its the right time to face Indian, we should have waiting another 4-6 Months and yes It kills the excitement.

India not to tour Pakistan for three ODIs

The Indian board has decided to reject Pakistan’s proposal for a three-match one-day tour in mid-March. The Pakistan board had requested the BCCI for a series once the Australian tour was shortened but India felt their players’ schedule was too tight to accommodate another tour.
“The players have had a long and strenuous tour of Australia and will return only on March 8 or 9,” Niranjan Shah, the board secretary told Cricinfo. “They have to assemble for the South Africa series on March 22. So it will be really tough to play three ODIs in between.”
The series had been under discussion between the two boards following the hesitancy shown by Australia in coming to Pakistan as scheduled in March-April. It was decided recently that Australia’s tour - if it goes ahead - would be considerably shortened. Pakistan were then keen to utilise the free period in the first half of March.
The Pakistan board, it is learnt, were confident that the tour would go ahead and had already began preparations for the three games, all scheduled for Lahore. The decision from the BCCI - taken by the office bearers today - was conveyed to the PCB chairman, Nasim Ashraf, by his Indian counterpart, Sharad Pawar.
However, India are likely to tour Pakistan for a short one-day series before the Champions Trophy in September-October.
And that’s the end of that. Looks like Pakistani players will be resting for a while now, since Aussies won’t come either.

Pakistan should start playing more local tournaments like Pentagular Cup. Just thinking they can start cricket just like MLB and NBA played in US. They can allow international players to play for local teams too. Then at the end of the season we can also say Sind or Punjab (or Karachi or Lahore), the World Champions. :)
