Indians should be happy, I was supporting three teams before, Pakistan, Kenya and England.

The way India played against Pakistan, they were not even capable of making 200. Pakistan’s poor fielding, dropped catches and non-attacking captaincy of Afraidi leaked at least 60-70 runs.

Sri Lankan bowlers specially Malinga and Murli are capable of containing them way under. It will be Sri Lanka’s game to lose. I wish them Luck and hopefully Sanga and his cronies will not make the mistakes Pakistan made against India.

before the india/pak semi final, I made a pact with one of my indian collegue at work that we will pray for the WC to remain in the sub continent. I am going to stick to that commitment. :D

I am supporting SL because I feel as Pakistanis we should return the favour they did to us when they came to play in our country when no one else was prepared to do so. They nearly paid for that with their lives. Even now there is news that they will come to play in Pakistan. so for that my full support to SL.

An interesting fact. Excluding the minnows (as they don't matter), the only teams India has defeated in this world cup are the previous world champs (Windies, Aus, Pakistan) and India has either lost to or tied with non world champs (Eng, SA). Now you know what's going to happen tomorrow night.

Innocent question - Are we inviting Sri Lankan President/PM for this match or is that privilege only reserved for a special neighbor ?

That aside - truth be told - I find the Sri Lankan team pretty boring and I can't put a finger on why.

May be because they usually play their cricket maintaining a low profile and don't get into controversies - therefore no entertainment value. Except for Sangakkara who likes to blabber a lot (future commentator) , Sri Lankan players seem to go about their tasks in a very "nice boys" sort of a way. Where is the fun in that ?

Also, I have hardly ever had interaction with any Sri Lankan fan on the internet or in real life. I have visited one of their popular cricket forums a few times and all I have seen are dull comments about their team's chances.

We defeated them in the Asia Cup final less than a year ago and I am not sure how many of us even remember that.

Now if Dilshan beats Tharanga with a bat OR Samarweera is found to be taking drugs - may be...just may be...I will get interested.
