India vs SL : Asia Cup's first REAL match

HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

THAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT

Can someone say INDIA IS ****ED

46.5 Maharoof to Kaif, OUT: bowled'm! perfect yorker, Kaif had no
answer, stumps rearranged, another crucial blow

   India 243/7, Partnership of 9
   M Kaif b Maharoof 22 (24b 2x4 0x6)
   IK Pathan 0* (3b) MF Maharoof 8.5-0-36-1 (3w)

India needed one very BIG slog over of say 18-20 runs...unfortuntely that never came.

However, this match may serve as a wake up call to the Indians to come down from their high pedestal and pull up their socks.

pathan showing just how good he is with the bat....

akh thoo angoor khatay hain… :hehe:

They need a few shots over the boundry... :)

pathan and balaji look determind to take india home....

18 from the last over....

can they, or can they not....

Thriller is in the making...

baji gone too....

khan and khan together on the crease....

can they now add fire to the remaining 4 deliveries....

*Sri Lanka wins by 13 runs *

An interesting match. Off to next round, that should be cracker of a round.

Sri Lanka won by 13 runs

looks like india r all rusted and dry....

dravid and yuvi r the only players who seem like in any form to play....

sehwag and tendlia completely waste....

and bowlers aint much polished either....

Sri Lanka 282/4 (50 ov)
India 269/8 (50.0 ov)

When I wrote that…India seemed to be doing pretty well… So throw your angoors out of the window…

Anyways, I am pleased with the performance of the lower batting order.
Feel sorry for Kaif. Everytime he comes out to bat, there is very little time for him to settle down to a rhythm. May be Ganguly and Kaif should exchange batting positions.

Ganguly has to be culprit behind India’s loss. His wicket (which came immediately after Sehwag’s) pegged India to the wall and put pressure on the run rate that turned out to be so crucial in the end.

i dont think Sehwag played badly.. He was fluent but was unfortunately run out. Correct me if i m wrong

So Pakistan plays SL in the next round on 21 July.
Go Pakistan!

Congrats to SL and well played. :k: India brought it upon themselves. Even though Yuvraj and Dravid put up a great partnership but they batted slowly and that put India under pressure. So far in the tournament both Indian openers, Tendulkar and Shewag have failed to deliver the goods. Also I cannot understand why play a half fit out of form Zaheer when you have Nehra there?

Anyway next round should be interesting with the three big teams clashing with each other.

oh, so India lost the first REAL match they played.

So tell me people, does that mean all is lost for India? or there is any other match with Sri-lanka and India can still make it to finals? Excuse my ignorance, but I don't know how the matches have been planned.
