A question to all Indian Posters

Lets say in the semi-finals, its australia, pakistan, south africa and england

will you indians cheer for Pakistan as they are the only south asian team and desi team left?

or better question, under which circumstances will you guys ever cheer for Pakistan?

India could qualify on run rate if they beat Sri Lanka and Bermuda both (they would beat Bermuda for sure). India could also qualify (on run rate) even if they lose against SL as long as BD also loses their game with SL and Bermuda both.

So, there is reasonable possibilities for India to qualify. It seems that India have geared up against Bermuda, and if they stay geared up, possibility could become reality.

But for all practical purpose, the possibility is as much as the possibility that India beats SL. I believe that SL is probably the best team in the tournament and to beat them would not be easy.

SL would play their game to their best of ability as loosing game with India means they would not be able to take 2 points from this phase of the game (if India qualifies) to next, as those points would be taken forward by India. These points are the very important points that qualifying team would need to qualify for semi final.

See guys I don't care if Pakistan were playing without some players.
Even if they were playing with their "C" Team...they should have won against Ireland.

*Rahi baat India-BD ki....*yes it is shameful that India lost to BD...but not "equally shameful"...given that BD is a Test playing nation and that they have defeated even Australia in the past (not to mention Pakistan).

India has boosted its chances for qualifying for the Super 8's termendously....I am sure it would be India & Srilanka in the next round,as Srilanka would beat Bangladesh easily.

Its nothing new to them, They have had plenty of practice of losing against them.

They can bring Pak vs BangalD and Pak vs Ireland…but everyone knows who have lost more to minnows between india and Pak

And yes I am being honest. Do you you want to know how that is?
Well Some1, I appreciate good honest hard work of underdogs. I think India is one of them. Even though they are hyped and were considered favorites.
They are not very far from the Pakistan team in being inconsistent. So if they fight like INDIAN SHERS and maul their way to the final. They will get my respect.

As a Pakistani, I am supporting India, they will make the WC better by being in it. With that being said, don't worry, IF you make it out of the groups and into the Super Eights, you too will face the wrath of Ireland. If you think it'll be easy, good luck.

I totally agree...

It was a massacre of Cricket that Pakistani team did the other day...

It was shameful and also hurtful for the future of Cricket in that country..

I don't know why Pakistani fans don't take Bangladesh as a proper team...Bangladesh has been doing pretty good for the last couple of years..

but since he represents people where at least couple of generations have died wishing to see India beating Pak more often, seeing Pak lose against anyone is a cause of national celebration....

Ya, If Indians stop with this anti-Pakistan hostility, I will support India in world cup

I have been to a few Indian forums and the venom they spew towards Pakistanis is horrific.

I think as Pakistanis we are much more welcoming to Indians and treat them much more respect than Indians do on their forums.

i think at the end of the day, indian and pakistani team are the exact same! they both suck and are very inconsistent... and even the people are the exact same! in india they were burning posters of the indian players, in pakistan they were burning posters of the paki players..

in south asia, cricket is like religion and the amount of stress/pressure the players go through is unbelievable, it can be seen by Woolmer's death...

i would certainly cheer for pakistan in a number of scenarios. however, my support would be contingent upon indian success as well in addition to a lack of one-up potential on india from any pakistani victory. this would rule out at least half the matches, but there is still the other half where i would be inclined to support pakistan, particularly against the likes of australia.

but i know 100% that there are many indians who will support pakistan over any white team or any team other than india....i don't agree with this and i am certainly not one of these people.

there are also plenty of other indians who would passionately root against pakistan no matter what the scenario. basically the indian counterparts to forum members like "ravage" and others.

Well India has a huge middle class & that is why you see so much more negative comments against Pakistan on those forums...The good voices get buried beneath all these bad comments...Waisay Pakistanis spit no less hatered either.
