These guys are barely pulling through against BD bowlers. They may even go on to score 50s and 100s but the fact remains, this is not the opening pair we want against more established sides.

Having seen the second belter in a row and observing how the ball is consistently moving despite of the pitch, I agree. One lighter point I thought was Ramesh Powar could have been dropped for Yuvraj or Laxman. His inclusion in this test side is not that threatning for the opposition, other than him being labeled as an all-rounder.

Wasim Jaffer's physical fitness is absolute horrible. He is not cut out for running between the wickets. From his standpoint, there is too much reliance on the phrase, "stand and deliver", but it has come at a price. He has a very good technique as an opener, solid cricketing shots, but his running is a disaster. There is no energy in him when he takes a run. Very lethargic.

Tendulkar is a spent force....no question.
His batting is far from convincing...and that is on this lifeless pitch and against BD.

India is 419-1 and this pitch is as lifeless as it gets...yet its surprising how difficult Tendu is finding to get runs...

Thank the Lord, Mrs. Jaffar, another Mrs. now in the picture. I had thought we would be forever glued to that smiling face of Mrs. Karthik. She has been picked up by the camera more times than Karthik's combined score of all his test runs.

Tendulkar is clearly playing for his century rather than trying to score quickly. Sickening to see him bat this way. Karthik is playing with much more purpose.

Seriously , Tendu is pissing me off bigtime.
I have lost all respect for him. He is so clearly playing for his century. I hope he gets out before he gets there.
He is playing BD bowlers as if they are all McGraths.
The bugger needs to learn something from Dravid who got out trying to score quickly.
