Tendulkar has 42 hundreds and 89 fifties. 17 times he has fallen in the 90s. So even if he had converted half of those nineties he would have passed fifty hundreds in ODIs by now.... Amazing!!
Yes had he converted the 90's into 100's than this record may never have be broken. Even his 42 hundreds will be difficult to break and it will require a special player to do that.
