Mohammed Ashraful is a great batsman, better than pakistani batsmen. he scored 158 runs in 198 balls, and he smashed pathan and zaheer khan also.

finally the epathy is over and india sweep the series..now to the one day matches..

**Ashraful earns praise all round **](BBC SPORT | Cricket | Other International | Ashraful earns praise all round)

India won the second Test but all the talk was about the batting sensation from Dhaka, Mohammad Ashraful.
His 158 not out was the best individual score by a Bangladeshi batsman in Tests, beating Aminul Islam’s 145 in their first Test in 2000.

Coach Dav Whatmore said: "We were all privileged to see his innings.

“It’s nice to know there is somebody in the group who is capable of those things. I would rank it up there with all the hundreds I’ve seen.”

Whatmore dropped Ashraful last year early in his tenure as coach of the side.

But he was fulsome in his praise of the 20-year-old on Monday.

“His shot-making was something extra special. He was full of confidence,” he said.

India captain Sourav Ganguly said Ashraful’s innings was the best of the series after his team had completed a 2-0 series sweep.

“He’s a quality player,” said Ganguly.

"He played an outstanding innings and played shots on all sides of the wicket off both front and back foot.

"We peppered him with short-pitched stuff early in the morning but he saw off that phase and then played one of the best Test knocks I’ve seen.

“I’m sure he is going to serve Bangladesh cricket for a long time.”
