Re: India V Australia, 5th ODI @ Hyderabad, Nov 5th
Infact a mediocre like performance by India in the end. They could have pulled this match from Aus comfortably................... Anyway........................................
Thanks all and Thanks Bangalore
Good Night.
Re: India V Australia, 5th ODI @ Hyderabad, Nov 5th
tough luck India... but well played Sachin - I actually kinda feel bad for him though - many of his big inning matches have been where India has lost the game - no one else there to form a sustainable partnership with him.
Re: India V Australia, 5th ODI @ Hyderabad, Nov 5th
nearly 700 runs scored today. ![]()
Re: India V Australia, 5th ODI @ Hyderabad, Nov 5th
Congrats to Aus. They held their nerves. :k: Tough luck, India.
Re: India V Australia, 5th ODI @ Hyderabad, Nov 5th
This game reminds me of that Pak vs Ind at Karachi which Pakistan lost by 4 (?) runs chasing 349 (?)
But this time it is different.India is chasing.WE WILL WIN :)
:D
Re: India V Australia, 5th ODI @ Hyderabad, Nov 5th
well played little master! although good thing you are not in sales as you come near but never CLOSE the deal! go aussies!
Re: India V Australia, 5th ODI @ Hyderabad, Nov 5th
Tendulkar dismissal reminded me of Misbah's dismissal in t20 wc final.. same kind of ball, same shot, similar result!
but my God what an innings!!!!!!!!!! hats off... if only Jadeja could have shown a bit of patience and not ran himself out... that was entirely immature.
Re: India V Australia, 5th ODI @ Hyderabad, Nov 5th
When I saw Tendulkar's plying on 170 I wasnt too worried fo Australia and you all know why :D
Re: India V Australia, 5th ODI @ Hyderabad, Nov 5th
Cricinfo
"Nobody does solos better than Sachin Tendulkar, except for Brian Lara. Nobody must have endured as much heartbreak during those solos, except for Lara. It was India of the 90s all over again. Tendulkar almost chased a target of 351 on his own, except for small contributions from Virender Sehwag and Suresh Raina. But with the target within sight, Tendulkar got out and the rest choked, falling short by three runs with two balls still to go.* In Chennai, in 1999-00, Tendulkar, having played an innings as incredible as this, left the last three wickets 18 to get; tonight he left them 19. He wanted to be left alone that evening and will want to be left alone tonight too.*"
Re: India V Australia, 5th ODI @ Hyderabad, Nov 5th
India should have won this match. Jadeja probably got too excited and ran himself out. He could have made the difference.
What would you guys say. A flat track or perfect ODI pitch?
Re: India V Australia, 5th ODI @ Hyderabad, Nov 5th
Man of the Match is Sachin Tendulkar:
*"I thought we started off really well then lost wickets. Suresh and I had a good partnership but in the end, it was disappointing. yeah It was one of my best knocks, the pressure to keep scoring runs was there and we took it very close. I thought Suresh has a terrific talent; he can play the big shots, so if we can get the partnership going, and with powerplay left, the game can go anyway. I care about playing for India, it's a passion and I have been absoloutely honoured to play for India so long." *

The Hyderabad pitch has always been called a batsman's paradise. Make what you want out of that :)
Re: India V Australia, 5th ODI @ Hyderabad, Nov 5th
*and much expected comment (which will be in headlines for few days)
Another big innings from Tendulkar ..... and once again .... he was unable to finish the match

Re: India V Australia, 5th ODI @ Hyderabad, Nov 5th
I personally think Raina's dismissal was the turning point. Having scored 50 and with Tendulkar on the other end, and a RRR of 5.5, he should have been a little less flamboyant in his batting. It's much easier for a settled batsman to keep the RR going and take the team to the end, than to expect new batsmen to finish the job. There was really no need to go all out at that stage.

I dont think the RRR ever dropped to 5.5, but I agree with the rest of your post.
If India is not winning today,I will shave my moustache
