what money? This money part is over-pronounced....indian board does not give us money to run our board..yeah bilateral series is financially viable but it is not as big as one may think...these days money is a bigger issue but we have been begging forever....we were flushed with money in 2001-2004 but we were begging indians to play with us after Indian parliament attack...a*nd bythe way we survived whole decade in 90s without playing them...money never bothered us then...*

the fact of the matter is that this is our state policy to keep begging india to show the world that we are open for relationship but India is not**...that is what it is without relazing that this policy is hurting us more .

and my analysis is for someone who is a third party (not an indin or pakistani) and looking at the whole situation.....”pak begging for 25 years, india not”...what is going on here....and how would he reflect on this trend as an outsider...simple as that

plus as you said and i agreed that we defeated the indian board and its cheap tactics in last 4 years.....we survived ( did not lose 8-0 to anyone.... ahhh what was that) but then we started the begging process again

we should have a hard stand against india... FU shd be our mantra...we will only play when india requests us to play because they terminated the relationship not us otherwise FU...

and it is not an emotional issue…it is a strategic issue....cricket is a dying sport...a small fraternity...no one can afford losing pak as a cricket playing nation...they will accommodate us no matter what (as rest of the world did in last 4 years...freakin aussies will play in 40c in dubai!) and we have shown we are very resilient, so we will survive and have survived....so who needs india and once you show to india FU attitude they will come straight from thereon...

now remember, i am not proposing an ego match here...just proposing a different strategic dynamics as "begging" failed to deliver anyway

wrong...when it comes to self denial, Indians are in a totally different league...we Pakistanis are much open in a debate, accept our mistakes (to some extent) but indians.... no comments...i live in the US and have met so many indians on different forums ... also have many close indian friends and the trend is same..."india can do no wrong especially against Pak" ... "ISI is responsible for everything"... "shining india" blah blah but somehow the world keeps on finding proofs that local indians are involved in many terrorist activities as well...that SIMI is a reality not a fiction created by ISI... that Dawood was an indian citizen to begin with ... that India has many separatist movements ...that RAW carries out many operations in Pakistan especially in sindh and Baluchistan...and every secret agency does that so no biggie but trust me no Indian will ever accept that. That is frustrating.

having said that no one is saying that ISI or Pak is all clean..just reflecting on indian behavior when it comes to self denial. That is all

No one is asking to make it easy for us, we have survived without your support and will continue to do so. In fact have thrived recently so REMEBER THAT. As for the principal go and read the posts of chest thumping Indians, the Pakistan obsessed Indian media and the toddler Gavaskar before coming and commenting here whether you want to hurt us financially or not play. No one is begging you to give us byes it is you who doesnt want to play so I am saying yeah dont play who cares plenty of other teams to play with. We recently played Eng and SL and are going to play Aus soon and than SA so who cares about India. Not me.

Thank you for admitting it is not about 26/11 it is about hurting Pak cricket financially. Says it all.

Totally agree. That is what I have been asking Pakistanis to do but It seems they cant. PCB will keep begging and fans like Ehsan will keep thumping their chest.

Who says India cant do wrong. I do not like many things BCCI does..flexing muscle, opposition of DRS etc But I do not live in delusional world of begging and chest thumping at the same time

Uncle, as mentioned a couple months ago I have seen your attitude and ferocity towards anything Indian turn quite negative. I understand its fueled mostly by Indian chest thumpers, crazy cricket fans or ultra nationalists. You feel compelled to counter their points and ramble on with them. (Aftabu, please dont feel I am referring only to you or just this threat).

As a mature individual which I hope you are, you are expected to either ignore mindless arrogant chest thumping... or laugh them off... or respond once or twice every now and then (its hard to control sometimes, I understand that).. but not let it become your primary or most likely mode of operation. You are better than this.

I haven't read all of the comments above but would like my Pak friends to picture this:

Twenty Hindu Extremists from India arrive in Karachi on a boat, then go on a shooting rampage and ruthlessly kill 200 innocent Pakistani Muslims.

It is also later found that elements from the Indian Army had provided tactical & material support in this attack. And a person of Indian origin based in the US helped in scouting for possible targets in Karachi. Indian Govt admitted that the whole thing was planned on its soil but did not carry out any serious investigation into the matter even 4 years after the attacks.

QUESTION:

Would you be willing to welcome the Indian cricket team in Pakistan with open arms and touting the 'lets keep cricket separate from politics' etc

what? oh my god…we conducted thorough investigation at the supreme court level…we asked the indian government to provide us proof against hafiz saeed and his party…nothing was provided..we asked for joint interrogation…but was denied…we did everything we could but Indians simply did not cooperate..why would they? they have no proof

and by the way…we know we are right…didn’t we find few years ago that SIMI was involved in 11 July 2006 - Series of seven bombs go off in trains, killing 209? and who did 1993 bomb blasts? dawod ibrahim is after-all 200% indian citizen… and before we forget, what about that ex Indian major who was involved in bus bomb attacks in india…but everytime the indian media blamed us and our agencies…so we know very well that this 26/11 is also a conspiracy against us by India, the US and Israel to defame us internationally and bring us under pressure…

so some1 jee…this is the Pakistani version of 26/11…we have “justification” for every question… Now imagine how sad the pakistani nation is on indian response…first the indian terrorists conduct these attacks, then blame us and when we stretch our hand for friendship, they act arrogantly

Phoenix - have found your posts really deep and immensely fair as a rule. Above post perplexed me - till tha last para. So are you stating the standard Pak response is self-denial? You end with a hypothetical of an Indian carrying out such attack in Pakistan. But that has not happened correct?

yes southie jee ...standard Pakistani response is absolute self denial...and I outlined all the reasons that are usually presented from Pakistani public when discussing 26/11...go to lahore, Faisalabad, sialkot, karachi..have a discussion on 26/11 and more or less you will hear these arguments...for that matter, many Pakistanis here in the US also believe that 26/11 was an Indian conspiracy!!!

my last para was a a hypothetical of an Indian carrying out such attack in Pakistan and what would be the Indian public response....and i have no doubt that for most part it would be self denial too....
