I don’t think Indians realizes this yet but India is going to lose Kashmir, albeit gradually. The end result could be Kashmir as an independent state or merged with Pakistan.

Pakistan has to be around for Kashmir to be part of Pakistan. There are serious threats to that itself. The future could be very different for both Kashmir and Pakistan.
