no one is saying that people in india/Pak do not feel bad or sorry when their children rape someone… of course they feel bad but what i am saying and i quote it from internet*** “because the society as a whole has failed to educate and evolve, the male mindset in India and Pakistan is hard coded into laying the blame squarely on the victim women”…***
I will be very frank…the fact of the matter is that we in subcontinent continue to believe that women invite trouble on themselves by being careless…how many times have we seen educated people making casual comments “she was wearing a tight jeans…she was inviting for trouble”… “sorry she got rapped but what was the girl doing so late in the night? .. may have a loose character?”” haven’t we seen our moms yelling at daughters for wearing provocative clothing, in most cases a sleeveless garment or a pair of hip-hugging jeans…and i am saying that the root of it all lies around a culture built around not thinking of women on equal terms…we need to change that societal behavior…
if pornography or bollywood is the main reason, holland shd have so many rapes..it may have some contribution but not the main reason by any means, as i see it…
plus i dont have link but i have seen data that shows that rapes are far lower in south india than north india…it is again a cultural and civilization thing
