Pakistan claims that the latest round of incidents began when Indian border guards killed two Chenab Rangers’ personnel in Shakargarh sector on Wednesday after calling them for a flag meeting on the Working Boundary.
Naik Riaz Shakir and Lance Naik Mohammad Safdar, who were deputed for the meeting sought by the BSF, died amid a hail of bullets, the Chenab Rangers said.
The Foreign Office summoned the Indian deputy high commissioner to lodge a protest over the incident.
A demarche given to the Indian diplomat asked New Delhi “to investigate the incident, bring the perpetrators to justice and ensure maintenance of peace and tranquility along the Line of Control and the Working Boundary”.
According to Chenab Rangers, the BSF firing on Wednesday morning was unprovoked. Flag meetings are routinely held by troops to settle local matters between the two sides.
Frontier clashes have intensified in recent months, dashing hopes that a brief thaw in relations after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was elected in May would lead to a calming of the situation.
The worst violence has been further north in the Kashmir Valley, where separatist militants killed 11 Indian soldiers and police in early December, the worst losses in six years.
Jammu and Kashmir held state elections in December in which Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party made gains. While leaving the party short of a majority, the result could open the way for it to form a ruling coalition with a regional party.

This seems to be one sided reporting. India has warned quite seriously that the days of taking pot shots are over and any such move will be seen as attempts to create diversion by Pak troops to let terrorists cross over into India. It was also made clear that the response will be proportionate but not equal.
It is a shame that even after Peshawar massacre, Pakistan is unable to stop aiding and abetting terrorism!

Pakistan Rangers today targeted 13 border outposts in Samba sector of Jammu and Kashmir drawing sharp reaction from India, a day after an Indian jawan and four Pakistani soldiers were killed in exchange of fire.
Meanwhile, Director General of Border Security Force D K Pathak briefed Union Home Secretary Anil Goswami about the prevailing situation along the border today where Pakistani Rangers launched fresh firing towards BSF posts.
Sources said a total of five Pakistani Rangers personnel were killed and two critically injured in BSF firing.
BSF also destroyed terrorist launch pad across the border at Abhiyal Dogra but around 23-30 militants, who were stationed there escaped the firing from paramilitary force.

Pakistan's history of employing cross border terrorism and border firing as cover to inject terrorists into India corroborates the Indian report. Plus in this set of incidents, the fact that diplomatic channels were invoked to retrieve Pakistani bodies from their advanced location indicates the shenanigans that were trying. If Pak soldiers were in their position why would they need Indian cooperation to retrieve their bodies.

Indians will live to regret that decision… Pakistanis are hospitable, but if Indians arent going to control their soldiers, then your soldiers are going to end up in body bags.
Pakistan has supported Kashmiri fighters, but even so, the level of violence on Indian occupied Kashmir has plummeted. So no reason to believe that there is increased infiltration from Azad Kashmir.
And India is currently ruled by a right wing ultra Nationalist govt whos bread and butter is conflict with Pakistan and demonizing of all things Muslim. So, because your Hindu nationalist needs the Pakistani bogey man, its likely the Indian govt has given your soldiers instructions to instigate conflict, and keep the issue in the media so people like you dont think your govt is complascent..
The LOC has been silent for much of the last 10 years or so, and violence in Indian occupied Kashmir has been the lowest since the freedom struggle started in 1989. And yet, suddenly this right wing nationalist govt comes into power in India, and suddenly after all those years, there is violence along the LOC… And there is nothing suspicious about that in your mind!

Yes your right. But in regards to relations with India Pakistanis have not generally shown this type of hostility. Like the border security officer last year who was found in Pakistan territory, yet treated with respect and released unharmed.
I repeat my earlier statement... if the problem was with Pakistani soldiers, you would have had multiple such incidences over the past ten years. But the fact is the sh1t seems to have really hit the fan after this new govt. I dont deny there are hot heads on the Pakistani side, but the timing off all this is just to suspicious.

I already stated that Pakistanis should never be fooled by the so called ‘vigil’ and actually a drama of crocodile tears, since it was so advertized and distributed on mass scale on internet and news media …for showing the world

Pakistan was not surprised and was warned quite plainly - If Pakistani soldiers fire at or try to advance or in any other manner create diversion to help their jihadi cohorts sneak into India, they will get fired back at and it will not be 1 for 1. This should be an easy enough message for your ghq as well as field majors to comprehend.
