If you look at it from a different angle,I think these early wickets have been bad for India.
With rain disyurbing so much i dont see more than 3 days play possible. In that case I will prefer Aus playing 1.5 days and scoring 600 rather than getting them out on 350 and then get bowled out twice. ;)

^ What a deduction!:smack:

Aussies 310/8 (Zaheer 5 wickets)

Ironically this is not good for India. I would have liked Australia to bat out one more day piling 600+ runs and ensuring that the test match is a draw. Now this gives the Aussies too much time to bowl India out twice.

India's "pitch to pavillion" march is all set to begin soon.

very good come back by india. :k:

i hope u'll be proved wrong by Sachin and Laxman & Co. ....... but then it's hope against hope ...... i seriously hope AUS will end this series with a crack in their socalled "self-belief & Confidence" ......

Nice reply from Zaheer Khan but Australia should still win this one.
Was it the talented Indian bowler doing the damage or the moisture in the air.

I would guess the latter. :)

God performance by Zaheer :k: Finally a good use of overcast conditions by an indian bowler …

I'm still mourning those bad decisions by Kallu on day 1,. Thank god it was Rudi at the bowlers end on day 2. Australia should have been all out for below 250. These extra 100 runs could be an entire Indian innings. Let's pray the sun comes out and dries the pitch.

Umair, a bowler can only exploit the moisture but he still has to bowl well. Zaheer was excellent and aggressive.

Tendulkar and Sehwag didn’t bowl, and Gangu bowled only 1 over , whats happening to Indian all rounders?

~ @ the gabba on stumps day - 2

  • Australia 323/9 (78.0 ov) u don’t c dat very often …

Australia RR: 4.14

Australian Batsmen making solid contributions:

Langer 121 (17 * 4)
Hayden 37
Ponting 54 (7 * 4 & 1 * 6)
Martyn 42

pick of the indian bowlers!!!

Zaheer Khan 5 / 95 :k:

India rock the Gabba on rainy day scorecard

Hint: Rain, rain.

If conditions remain similar, watchout when Aussies bowl

Right Changez - When India plays well, it's due to the conditions, When others do, its due to the talent.
I wonder what happened to 'Giving Credit where it is due'

PS :- It rained on the first morning as well.

so you are saying that it really was the "Indian bowling talent" to restrict Aussie batting from piling 600? Where was this same talent when Aussies were hammering them in last triangular tournament?

Are you telling that it was because of the rain Aussie batsmen couldn't score 600 runs ?? Well then how come they scored 262/2 on the first day despite the rain ? Indian bowlers sure bowled a much better line & length and applied lot of pressure on the batsmen. They also had some luck on their side.It may not be talent but it sure is some desciplined bowling.

I can give you 100s of example when talented bowlers have been made to toil all day without much success.

PS :- I can understand your frustration, you were so hoping that Aussies would score 600 runs, now you will have to wait for next test for the 600 runs. :)

:hehe: presumptions? I would like Aussies to be beaten, have seen enough of them winning winning and winning. I don’t care if Aus score 600 or 900 or only 300. But then, in order to win there are some requirements.
