Andy Symonds is a one day specialist, I don't see him doing well in test and plus his first class record with Kent isn't really impressive but Katich on the otherhand who plays for Hampshire, has a very good first class record.

who cares about Kent record - Andrew has been terrific in Australian domestic Cricket - i knew Simon Katich would not be helpful when wickets fell apart - and I was so damn right about it - if a player doesn't play test match that doesn't mean he can mark his destiny in test cricket arena - Symonds did have that immaculate innings at the 'Gabba sometime ago - what was it....165 or something round that is less than a run a ball - it turned the game on its head and won the Aussies the match effectively - so he has come in handy before - oh well - its useless to cry over split milk.

Errr well i'm kind of lost for words as to what happened there?

The entire middle order collapsed - for a second there i thought i was back in England and watching the national side! Anyway now what as far as the rest of the Test goes? I think Andy Bichel and Jason Gillespie will have a major part to play in the rest of the match.

And it was devastating to see Steven fall like that - it was heart-breaking.

Some good bowling by Zaheer and hard luck for Waugh. Game is not evenly poised although Indian's batsmen has to dig it hard. 300+ is not easy to get in these conditions.

10Dulkar and Dravid has to stay at the wicket as long as they can and everyone else has to chip-in with 30-40 atleast. Good for them McGrath and Lee are still out of AUS attack.

I dont think game is poised.Either Aussies will win or it will be Draw.To Draw this match Indians will have to dig really had.Conditions are really tough for batsmen. It was indian wayward bowling that saw Aus reaching 262/2 on firstday.Otherwise score could have been less than 300.

Anyway here is the Poll of Day..
**

How many Balls will Sehwag Face before getting out.

A. less than 7
B. more than 6 but less than 13
C. more than 12 but less than 19.
D. More than 18.
**

More than 18 - He will be out in the 5 th over after facing 19 balls and scoring 6. He will be caught in the slips by Ricky Ponting.

He will face 1 ball.

I reckon a 50+ for Shewag.

As per Steve Waugh (in his syndicated column ), the batting condition at the Gabba appears extremely hazardous and he is glad that his team has surpassed 300.
I think I can safely conclude that the Indians will be all in the pavillion for less than 150.

if we go by this then .. you think that India will play around 50 overs. Then Aussies will bat atleast 20-25 overs to score another 120-150 runs and then India will bat again. Which means we are talking about almost 130-140 Overs of game. Will it be possible in next 3 days with rain forcast for all days.

well then you should change your post where you said India will score 150.You are thinking india will be out for less than 123(its very likely that Waugh will declare this morning)

I said less than 150... isn't 123 less than 150.

I dont think Waugh will declare though.
