India play Victoria in their first game of the Australian tour tomorrow at the MCG.

After a successful trip to India with Australia’s one-day team, Ian Harvey returns to the Victoria side for the first time this season.

Meanwhile, Brett Harrop and Brendan Joseland, Melbourne University team-mates, will both make their first-class debuts.

Victoria squad
1 Cameron White (capt), 2 Jason Arnberger, 3 Matthew Elliott, 4 Brett Harrop, 5 Ian Harvey, 6 Brad Hodge, 7 David Hussey, 8 Mathew Inness, 9 Brendan Joseland, 10 Andrew McDonald, 11 Jonathan Moss, 12 Peter Roach.

A full strength Indian squad take on the Bushrangers. How important is it for India to start off on a positive note and get their batting clicking?

India is lucky not to play in Perth. Aussies are being nice hosts.

I agree, usually tourists are thrown into the deep end with the first test match being in Perth. India are getting off lightly. Will be an interesting series, although India will get slaughtered. $ test matches is one too many in today's crowded schedule.

^ Yeah, the 4 tests are one after the other, giving no time for recuperation. The Aussie bench strength will allow player rotation; for us I see a knackered side begging to go home by the 3rd test.

Let the Baqra Eid begin! :kaboom:

As usual Tendlya plays cricket while the rest play gilli danda. Dravid out for zero. Shewag 23 (Ok Asif, he's a tullebaz.:)

Sachin races to 58 with 11 boundaries.

I've just realized that VVS has been dropped!

Eid for Aussies:konfused:

:hehe:

plus the fact that Glenn McGrath and Darren Lehmann are injured and are may not participate in atleast 2 matches.

NE one think that india will be able to win any match ????;)

BTW I wud luv to see them giving good fight. which is highly unlikely

Since the Aussies win everything, too bad they are'nt playing a team other than India. I could actually cheer against the Aussies then.

Pathetic showing by the Indians.
260/9, thanks to good knocks by Tendulkar and Ramesh.

And this is not the Aussie team we are talking, this is against a club side called victoria and their lead bowler is Ian Harvey. :hehe:

I am definitly going to enjoy this series.

Does anybody know if Dish Network will be broadcasting the series?

Just wondering if india is playing team A or team Z. :rotfl:

ZzZz :sleep2: …oh … I mean not Z as Tendulkar is there.

Ok, so its there Y team.

:hehe:
some funny comments there…

Even India’s former captain Bishen Singh Bedi said about Tendulkar that he’s not a match winner and bla bla:sleep2:…

I will be enjoying watching Aussies playing with Indians:D.. Finally will get some good cricket days as Pakistan will also be playing;)…

Do we know if any body is showing this series on TV? Is Zee tv showing it? is it on dishnetwork?

^ It's bound to be. I'm hoping Willow gets the rights too. Something should be announced by Sunday.

Well this should be a great series - though somewhat one side i think! I can't really see Australia being thwarted by India at all to be honest - Plus the bowling department is very weak for them - looks like Messers Hayden, Justin and Ponting could be in for some fun and games.

:hehe:

Usually when the comment of this magnitude is made in Khail Khilari, it gets deleted the next second but this time it wasn’t deleted because it so true. :hehe:
