^ May be so.. I didn't see it.
Waugh does not seem to be in any hurry to get to his century in his last innings. He is more interested in ensuring a draw. This kind of unselfish approach epitomises his career.
Waugh out and Gilchrist hits a SIX off the second ball. Is he thinking Aussies can still win ?
^ turned out to be a FOUR and Gilchrist is OUT on the next ball.
Too little, too late I think .
So..Its DRAW..
great test match.
Well played India :k:
Well played Steve and katich.
** MATCH ENDS IN A DRAW**
India 705/7d & 211/2d
An anti-climax end to an otherwise absorbing test match.
And folks just like Steve Waugh :) , I think I will also call it quits(from GUPSHUP) at this point. I have been wasting way too much time here and its affecting my life.
So there will be no Some1 here for some time to come.
So long....
Man of the Match:SACHIN
Man of the Series: DRAVID

Ruk jaaaaaaaaaaaaa
:(
We will miss you Steve
Well done india. Great performance by them .
What an effin bollocky end to a great test match. A match which India should have won if that rat-bag slime Bucknor would have given those lbw's, and if Ganguly had shown some more imagination on the field.
I'm glad Crickinfo has immediately come out with a damning verdict against Bucknor. More will follow in the Aussie media. That white-ass worshipping dim wit must be hounded out of the game starting now.
Sorry for the bad language folks, but I've had more than I can take of this retard.
Btw, did anyone notice how Ganguly shook Border's hand while recieving the trophy and ignored Gavaskar, not even looking at him? I hope he showed the same gumption and refused to shake Bucktooth's hand.

Cricinfo a.k.a Indian media amuse me to the fullest. They are blaming Bucknor for not giving Langer and Martyn out LBW. L B W !!!!!!!!!. Good ness Gracious. And they admit the ball pitched ON leg stump line. How the hell can you blame an umpire for not giving out LBW when the ball is pitching on a border line. You Indians need to learn how to play GENTLEMAN's cricket.
Same thing went when Pak was about to defeat Aus chasing 375 in Hobart 1999 but Langer was given NOT OUT on a clear bat n pad at silly mid off. It was an Aussie umpire. We never complained.
Shame on you for using such foul language for a great Umpire like Steve Bucknor.
And forgetting what Umpire Venkat did to the career of many batsmen including Nasser Hussain.
Amazing performance by indians. They were written off when they arrived here but they have done what many teams could not do in Australia i.e. Draw a series.
India shouldnt have batted after Australia followed on. I mean what the heck, you got 234 runs lead, why are you afraid of your bowlers gettting tired of( which only was Anil Kumble), let others bowlers bowl till Anil can send some overs. That was a decision in my opinion which might have caused India a rare series win abroad and probably their only chance of winning a series here.
That said, India will rise amongst the cricketing ranks even more after thier performance here. I fear for India-Pakistan series being dominated by Indian Batsmen (God Forbid)
A very good series, shame it had to end in a draw. Instead of blaming the umpires, and they were at fault at times, I still feel that not enforcing the follow on cost them the series. Overall a great show by the Indians.
Well on to the one day series now. It will be another cracking series with Zimbabwe the third participant.
This is intresting…

Parthiv gives Waugh a taste of his medicine**
SYDNEY: Amid all the hype surrounding his farewell match, Steve Waugh had to contend with an unexpected dose of his own medicine by a player half his age.
As Waugh fought on a grim battle to stave off defeat in the series-deciding fourth Test here, 19-year-old Indian wicketkeeper Parthiv Patel tried to unsettle the veteran batsman through some banter.
The baby-faced keeper egged on the 38-year-old stalwart to play one of his sweep shots one last time, revealed Waugh at the post-match conference.
**
“The India keeper was saying ‘come on, just one more of the famous slog sweeps before you finish’,” said Waugh.

"They had a bit of crack which is a bit of fun out there.

“I said, ‘look show a bit of respect. You were in nappies when I debuted 18 years ago’.” **
