Dhoni is a very defensive captain in tests, he seems to just sit back and wait for the opposition to make mistakes. Being the w/k of the team does not really help him to communicate effectively with his bowlers. Ideally a captain should be fielding at mid on or mid off so that he can keep an eye on his bowlers
India (read Zaheer) had Australia (37/3) on the mat, yet they somehow still conceded two 250+ partnerships which is just not good enough at this level. **No team should get to 659/4 from 37/3 **no matter how placid the pitch or innocuous the bowling. That is very disappointing indeed.
True the batters did not do their job but had Dhoni set more attacking and aggressive fields on day 2, Australia might not have been in such a dominant position in this test

Gambhir gone. Laxman living dangerously - had one ball hit his glove - then another gloved ball fell short of Haddin, another edge fell short of fielder. He just hit a four and a 3.
Looks like Ram is looking out for younger brother. Need to recruit Rahim also for additional protection.

The field placement of Clarke is really good. All edges/catches go towards fielders. Some may fall a bot short. But overall he seems to have people at right positions.
Ball from Lyonns in last over turned viciously from outside off to near stump that Laxman left. Next ball goes for 4. Drinks.

India scores 129 runs in 1st session for loss of 1 wicket. Good positive cricket.

Australia won by an innings and 68 runs
Ashwin made it look little less humiliating for India by quick fire 62 ( of 76 balls)

Ram(achandran Ashwin) and Rahim both played well, with latter scoring 35 runs in typical fashion.
India fell short of voctory by ~ 77 runs in one of the most heroic 2nd innings chases in test cricket history

The result (innings defeat) was never in doubt but atleast they gave a better account of themselves in the second innings

Dhoni is over rated most of his victories has been at home .....I said last year time will prove and see the England tour and Now this

Tend should be happy that he didn't make a century at SCG...not that his 100s and defeats don't have a correlation already.
WACA's seam and bounce is merciless for subcontinent players. Looking forward to see Ghambir, Sehwag & Dhoni play with dead feet there.
Aussies will play without their useless off-spinner and young fast bowler. Let's see what they have in reserve.
