Thats a question that needs answering... Where are the Tigers getting their weapons/ How are these supplies getting to them? Even if we assume that these weapons come from Pakistan as most Indians probably do, how is it that India allows its terrirtory to be used to deliever these weapons?

India is handicapped in its support to Sri Lanka
LTTE terrorists get their weaponry from Tamil Nadu.
India won't dare give Sri Lanka offensive weaponry so that Sri Lanka will have the capability to defeat the LTTE because its own Tamil population will get angry.
India will only supply Sri Lanka with defensive weaponry so that LTTE terrorists continue to attack and Sri Lanka on some future date gives up the fight and divides the island nation.
This is India's goal.
When Sri Lanka looks to other countries for weapons such as Pakistan and China, India acts all concerned about Sri Lanka.
Interesting... Although, if my Sri Lankan Tamil friend is any source, then Tamils have legitimate beef in Sri Lanka... India should try to stay as neutral in this as possible, cosidering they have such a large Indian Tamil populus themselves.

^^ Tamils in Sri Lanka are the most uneducated, criminal element of the Sri Lankan population.
The Buddhist Sinhalese vastly discriminate against Tamils, so I guess Tamils have a legitimate beef.

The LTTE are formed in Sri Lanka to get a territory of their own because they are discriminated against in Sri Lanka by Sinhalese.
As for weaponry. Every single person who knows anything about the conflict knows that LTTE and their supporters in Tamil Nadu get their weapons from India.
They use Freighter Ships who dock 50 miles from the Sri Lankan coast and the Sea Tigers transport the ammo and weapons on to Sri Lanka via speed boats.
Even the LTTE Air Force is smuggled from India.
As for complaining. Sri Lanka has complained many times but because India has huge investments in Sri Lanka and if it were to pull them the fledgling Sri Lankan economy would collapse.

I never said that the Indian government is supplying LTTE with weapons.
I am saying that Tamils living in India are supplying LTTE with weapons and the Indian government knows about it and wont take any action as it could cause a Tamil insurgency in India.
And thus similarly, India will never supply Sri Lanka with offensive weaponry because it will antagonize the Tamils living in India

In black market, you can get Anti tank gun missiles. then you should not have any problems in getting other weapons.
and you forgot LTTE has its own naval ships to transport their weapons. they are called as 'sea tigers'.

there should be no dearth of ports when they can have their own naval ships. Perhaps jaffna, which happens to be under their control and second largest city of sri lanka

The point here was that India is trying to flex its little muscle at our expense...
It claims to be a super power and is trying to usurp our rights in South Asia.
First you denied this, then when I showed you the article you started talking about how India has some kind of Right to make such a claim.
I can tell you this much, India trying to act like big brother isnt in anyones best intrest, certainly not Indias, for a number of reasons..
Whether you like it or not, peace in the region depends on mututal respect, not hegemony... Pakistan for one, will not stand by and allow India to Bully it.
