Because there were no adverse news or uprising like 1971 from former East Pakistan and Bengali then sided with West Pakistan in that war. It was Bengali pilot M. M. Alam, who made the world record of destroying 5 Indian jet fighters in few seconds when India mourned the death of its pilots.
