The holocaust was wrong....but it also happened many many yrs ago....there r issues from the present that need much more attention, than stuff which has happened in the past! I dont particularly see what the condemnation of the holocaust will achieve in the present day....

This would have been the case in the past. The past I mean 1,000 years ago when muslims were educated, enlightened, tolerant and moderate and openly welcomed jews from Europe who were being persecuted.
But today, the Islamic world is one of the most intolerant places on the planet.
Constant vehement anti-jewish slander is regular in islamic press which would give the Nazis a run for their money. TV shows which shows vicious caricatures of Jews and yet these Arabs have the nerve to complain when they are shown as Terrorists on American TV and Movies?

Well the young people also rioted in France against the probation law so whats the difference. Its their country too as they were born and raised there, and if rioting is good enough for one party its good enough for the other too.
Any one on the right from Le Pen to BNP is anti muslim nowadays and getting more popular because thats whats selling. Its not just the right…supposedly moderate government such as the Britain’s current Labor administration are out tut tutting the Muslims on how they should behave. Look at discussion fora on any news website (BBC’s “have you say” section is one). No matter what the event whether it was the riots in France or those in Sydney the comments overwhelmingly anti Muslim. Look at the comments made in the aftermath of the bombing of the Madrassah in Bajaur…while Muslims are condemning it outright, Westerners are leaving comments such as “kill em all let God sort them out”
Look at pop culture, the last season of the show 24 was Goebelesque to say the least and it was extremely popular. Would anyone ever risk showing someone of the Jewish faith in anything as remotely negative? I’ve just mentioned the first instance that came to mind the list goes on and on. In such an environment, there is a greater chance of someone proposing a final solution for Muslims, than there being a second Jewish holocaust.
Remember, even the most extreme terrorist is calling for an end to Israel and not the killing of the Jewish people in contrast to “Kill em all and let God sort them out”.
Like I said it is my opinion and I stand by it. Today on this forum you can ask the biggest keyboard jihadi around and he will probably open his doors to anyone in need. Our hospotality is one of our most time honoured traditions.

Like I said there is not one extremist who has said “Kill all the jews” or that there must be a “final solution of the jewish question” much like a lot of Western Christians were 60 years ago. As far as Anti semitism goes…that in the words of Karen Armstrong is a Western Vice and besides Arabs are semites too…certainly more semitic than the people crying about “anti semitism” today. They are certainly anti-Israel (but then again so are certain Jews) but not anti-semites.
