In search of unknown

I used to thought that only we desis fall for things like ‘totay se faal nikalwana’, until I saw an octopus predicting winner of FIFA world cup. Western world has also got share of superstitions related to future.

Apart from these two methods, what other methods are used to make people believe about happening in future?

Do you believe in any of such methods or observed truth behind such predictions?
