Cybercafe owners using spy cameras on customers

As many cybercafe operators across the city will testify, love is a most profitable business. To escape detection and police harassment, many couples are now thronging to cybercafes which have mushroomed everywhere. Not only are such couples a regular income stream, many cybercafes are using hidden cameras to record activities which have less to do with the internet than typewriters. The resulting ‘films’ are either used for blackmailing purposes or for widespread circulation through CDs.
A popular CD doing the rounds in most urban centres features one such couple. The ‘film’ begins with the crying girl pleading with her friend to let her go. As the story proceeds, the girl eventually capitulates and the rest is recorded in graphic detail by the wall-mounted hidden camera. Many films are actually a compilation of various clips, professionally edited and overlaid with film songs and lewd dialogue. And, if the shopkeepers’ accounts are anything to go by, they are selling like hot cakes.

Easy with your anger. The population's seeking secularism but the conservatives tend to push them into net cafes. The problems in Pakistan are never confronted but rather pushed aside for the sake of being a traditional state. Traditions over lives, that's acceptable in Pakistan. Young lovers have no place to go, so they resort to net cafes. This is a social problem...open up Pakistan or lose some more lovers.
this is ages old btw. atleast 6-7 months. and some of those involved were married, and married to someone in the army. thats where the controverysy came from.
its also verifiable in a way, because before the emails started an army wala of mine told me abt it.
what i dont understand is people who say this is what happens in Pakistan. Out of 150 million people, 6 are caught on tape, and you think thats evidence of a general phenomenon? Tape that does not reflect the 10,000 people that went in without having sex, but the 6 who did, and you think this is in any way representative of the general?
I would think you're basically using this to support your preconcieved biases (for whatever reasons you have them). But its a very unscientific/logically flawed thought process, and aside from the little man in your head lauding the evidence of your sound beliefs, there is very little u can do with this.

You said some were married, clearly you yourself are generalizing. Net cafe's are known for dating hangouts where couples can meet without any religious pressures be they married cheats or young lovers. The problem's that these couples have no place to meet other than net cafes or elite clubs. It's been happening for a while, people have known about it for a while but now that it's on tv we hear outrage. It's time we admit secularism's needed and wanted instead of a backwards islam facade.

It’s been on all the mucky Desi websites, it’s not all that graphic and the camera quality is ****.
Here in Alum Rock two Paki kids were upto no good, the bf recorded it on phone for watching later, then his phone broke so he took it to get fixed, the guy who fixed it saw the video and bluetoothed it to all his friends, a local shop owner (a desi ‘badmash’) got a hold of the vid, he made DVD’s of the movie and started selling them in his shop with a picture of the girl on the cover, the girls dad went to the desi grocery shop for some stuff for haandi and saw her pic in the Adult DVD section and had a heart attack, the girl got took to Pak and married off to some freshy..
So my bros/sis’s, don’t do anything which will bring shame on you and your family, control your bits till you get married.

Ouch… Dedsi can be pretty dumb somtimes..
There is video going around on YouTube these of a British Pakistani girl stripping for her boyfriend who she subsequently broke up with… So he went ahead and posted her video on the net… In this age, nothing remains personal for very long.
