There have been enough of these threads to kind of know that most will do as they were taught growing up. For some - arranged marriage and others love marriage.
I wouldn’t feel honest marrying another person if I was in love with another. I would have to tell the guy and let the chips fall and who would want to marry someone in love with another?
Dimagh - that guy is the same joker who first asked everyone if it was ok since he was an adult to persue a relationship with a 14yr old one week then one or two weeks later, she has a birthday (so a big 15) and he has a hickey Don’t even bother, he proved what he was a long time ago.
well my sister is having an arranged marriage....
when she met him she got really upset n thought tht he was a complete ABCD ... then seh got to know him n was like 'ABCD's are not THAT bad' ...... n now they literally love each other .....
they are getting married in JUNE inshAllah .....
for some arranged marriages work ..... n love marriages...hmm .... well i'm abt to get married within this year so dont knwo yet ... hopefully it will last a long time INSHAllah as we always talk normally ... nsometimes even get down to badtameezi ... hehe ... so i've seen hsi good n his bad .... so i dont knwo ...
i dont know anyone in tht situation ... the ppl i know are like 'i'll marry the person i love or not get married at all' ... so thank God dont know anyone in tht situation!
I just hope that anyone who is in love it works out for u, inshallah. And anyone that is doing arranged marriage gives their person a chance. I just thought this topic was interesting cuz in the movie Dhadkan the girl liked that boy but married someone else. She still (if I remember correctly) had little bit of feeling for the guy she liked until he acted like a jerk and tried to act. (I watched it a while ago).
Well honestly some of the situations that u see in Indian movies can be true. I mean u see ppl falling in love and then marrying someone else for some reason or another. So I was just wondering how everyone felt about that. Its kinda scary.
some people get married after knowing each other for like a month and that is so not a good idea. how so you know if it is just puppy love or real love

how do ppl do it, get married to someone while they are still in love with someone else. sadly i think they need to be able to stand up to their mothers.
^ Ya but its harder than u think. I mean ur parents raised u for ur whole life. And to think that if u marry someone without ur parents consent...u know the person for 2, 3, 5, or 7 years. Ur parents have known u for lifetime. Just think that u r going to betray ur parents for the person u love. What if one day the person u love betrays u how would u feel? Or what if one day ur a parent and ur kid does to u what ur doing to ur parents but 2 times worse....how would u feel??? In this situation u gotta put urself in others shoes before u make any decisions. A marriage is putting two people together for a lifetime as well as two families. Ur affecting not just u and ur loved one but ur families as well.
Just something to think abt.
