I will not go in details,…
At the JFK got the call from Job, had to go online ![]()
Thank GOD, the exchange/sharepoint start working otherwise i have to leave the flight …
Plane was very empty, recession/depression maybe..
then i slept for next 8 hours wake up before 2 hours of flying left, start watching “Madagascar: Escape to Africa”…
took some shots while in the air.. will post later..
Got no problem at all at the airport, exchanged currency, the arabic guy on the desk was very polite, start talking about two-days ago massacre in Lahore, i was like dude i am carrying backpack too…anyway he stamped my passport-issued 1 month visa, i was out in less then 15 minutes after arriving. Its one of the best service i got at any airport. Yes, terminal 3 is beautiful and easy to navigate around.
The weather is mild, should be in 70s…got the taxi, and that indian freak was one of the worst, i was like trying to talk and that dumbass didn’t even reply, he was like a robot airport to hotel only-no speaking..
I can only see Pakistani/Indians every-where … dang.. its like Lahore/Karachi or Mumbai/Delhi…
The first experience of Dubai is good, as you can see in the shots, every 2nd home/premises has swimming pool & small lawns.
Construction is everywhere, actually all the cranes are halted…no money left??? Its feels like states, cars of all models are roving here…sky-scrapers/advertising signs… Dubai is more likely a rich-haven i’d say..
I didn’t feel any cultural thing which one feels when entering NY/Roma/Paris/London/St.Peter burgs..
Hotel is good, the staff is completely desi, room is spacious..calling my friends, Imran said he is coming right now, L-k is in the air (Ankara-dubai),.. vicky has an important meeting, he will meet at lunch…
Time to take the shower, went to lounge and have coffee, vicky came in .. same old same old.. nothing changed… big fat face with big french-cut.. we have lunch in the hotel, look for memories in the past… and then start exploring dubai…
aaah.. i just saw an “suh-raab bicycle” … but no camel yet.. !
Instead of taking vicky car,i prefer traveling in public bus to have more close feeling to local life… all of the passengers were desi and some philipinies..
We went to city center, all of the western chains store are their too, found Starbucks, took my old-fav mocha light !..
Hang around in this huge mall, “larkiyoon pey fikre kasaay, …The Noodle House sey noodle khaye” – highly recommened to everyone a great resturant..
Then vicky take me to “Tamasha Lounge” in Ramada Continental Hotel.. its an Indian bar with live dancers from India, it was filled with desi’s… and two local arab who were throwing dirhams.. .. anyway Tamasha is more like Mujra place…then we went to Crickter’s club, its in the Ramada too, .. a nice London-style sports pub, three Belarus girls were singing live songs.. we sit here until 3.00am the closing time.. talk about everything from start to end.. and… i don’t remember anything after that !
That’s all folks for now..
Sanwal~~
