Re: Imran's cancer hospital sealed off by police
Imran is a misguided individual. When he entered politics, mullahs accused him of having a child outside marriage. Accused him of marrying a Jew. Now he is in bed with them. He himself accused Nawaz government of corruption, and praised Musharaf when he took over. **Now he is in bed with the same corrupt folks. **A wanna-be leader, who wanted to stand out from the crowd, now joined the same crowd, who never had a good reputation in Pak. He has yet to condemn lal masjid administration, who were stockpiling arms inside the mosque. He has yet to condemn those who are blowing themselves. He has yet to condemn that mullah radio in Swat. He has yet to condemn tribes who are executing pak soldiers and making videos.
MILEADING PEOPLE AGAIN! APDM is a political alliance (not a compromise on principles. The day he does that Imran would lose respect in my eyes too) that was formed to oust the military dictator. Since all political parties (however bad or corrupt) are part of that democratic process, Imran had no option but to join them. How could he go it alone?......THINK!
Those criticising Imran for not getting arrested how come they don't find anything wrong with Mush's ochay huthkanday. I never thought that Mush would stoop so low as to direct the authorities to literally ransack his house and misbehave with his family. How come you have never condemned that! Imran I am sure would be quite willing to get arrested if he knew the authorities would behave in a civilised manner. He is not a criminal or murderer and therefore deserves to be treated with some dignity by the police. Knowing our jaahil officers and the heavy-handed approach they often use, people like myself are worried for his safety if and when he gets arrested.
What wrong has Imran done apart from criticising the dictator and his emergency stunt. How does that make him a criminal? How can criticizing an individual and his policies be treason? As M2K said Treason is not criticizing dictatorship. If there is to be a trial for treason, we Pakistanis know who should be in the dock.
Those who know the constitution in letter and word, know (in their hearts and minds) what Imran said was absolutely as per article 6 of our constitution and cannot really be challenged in any court of law.Whether Mush likes it or not the fact is he has committed high treason not once but twice by overthrowing an elected PM and disobeying the orders of CJ who had shunned the emergency and PCO.
And let me just say this:
I have lived in England for 15 years now and I can safely say that NO Pakistani (incl. Benazir) has been recognised, appreciated or given the same respect and status by the British media and public as Imran Khan
