Imran to focus on KPK uplift

Bari dair kardi aatay aatay…

For the past two years Imran Khan has been focusing on Punjab to improve his electoral chances in the process completely ignoring KPK completely where he had a chance to prove his words. When Imran Khan was hell bent on launching his Azadi March, I thought he should have stayed in the parliament and launched the movement from within. Perform in KPK as people are really comparing KPK and Punjab, there are no shortcuts to getting power. Loud talk alone wont take him far, but it seems as if IK loves to learn things the hard way. Time and again he has proved to have a short term attention span, lets see how long he can focus on the uplift of the province which needs it the most.

Imran to focus attention on KP uplift - Newspaper - DAWN.COM

**KOHAT: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday announced he would focus his attention on the development of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa people, who voted his party to power in the province.
**
Now, I and my party will take all possible steps to bring positive change in the life of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Our actions will be visible to the people. I will launch and supervise long-term development programmes in the province,” he told participants of the IT Park inaugural ceremony here over the telephone.

The IT Park will be the first of its kind in the southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The event was attended by transport minister Shah Mohammad, MNA Shehryar Afridi, MPA Zareen Zia, chairman of Kohat district development advisory committee and MPA Ziaullah Bangash and MPA Gul Sahib Khattak.

**Imran Khan told participants that he couldn’t give due attention to the resolution of the problems facing the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as he was busy with the party’s sit-in in Islamabad against the election rigging.
**
He said the province had youths full of information technology talents and that they just needed the government’s encouragement.

The PTI chairman said the province was rich in natural resources, which would be developed in such a way that intelligent children show their abilities.

He said PTI would continue its struggle against corrupt system at the national level.

In his address, MPA Ziaullah Bangash said growth in IT was essential for development in the world.

He said the countries not paying attention to the IT sector lagged behind in modern times.

The MPA said the IT Park would benefit the youths of Kohat and adjoining districts.

He said at the park, experts would provide new ideas to the youths.

“We plan to convert Kohat into an IT city in future,” he said.

The MPA said work had begun on the biggest recycling plant in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He said the PTI government had approved Rs60 million for the beautification of Kohat under which the area’s history would be preserved by installing monuments.

Rs50 MILLION RECOVERED: The local anti-corruption department Kohat circle has recovered Rs50 million from corrupt officials during the last six months.

The information was shared by assistant director Ali Hassan Khan while talking to Dawn here on Wednesday.

Ali Hassan said the department was tightening noose around corrupt officials, who would be punished for plundering the taxpayers’ money.

He said his department had arrested 35 officials of 5-9 grades in the communication and works, public health engineering, education and revenue departments over corruption during the period.

The assistant director said corruption could be eradicated from the society only if the people helped the relevant authorities.

He asked the people to contact him if any official sought bribe or they found anomaly in development projects.

Ab pachhtaiay kia hovat jab chirian chug gain khet
اب پچھتاۓ کیا ہوت جب چڑیاں چگ گئیں کھیت

Pullon kay nichay say boht sa pani guzar gia

Imran fully exposed

He proved all my views and thoughts

He is the dirtiest politician of the world
and went back to his life after marrying another like him

Hamaray bachon ko bachao , Imran say jan chhurao

Is kay hotay hamaray bachon ki jan aur ikhlaq donon khatray main hain

Re: Imran to focus on KPK uplift

He wasted 2 years, but I guess its never too late. If PTI works hard & totally focuses on KPK for next 36 months results should be visible for all to see. In fact, IK should become the CM.

Re: Imran to focus on KPK uplift

uncle isse mustaqil mizaji samjhen ya dhitai? :hehe:

Re: Imran to focus on KPK uplift

Finally, something he should have done long before, anyway, still not that late, I am glad he is not listening to Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Shereen Mazari type of people anymore and have decided to focus on real deal.

I this Rehaam Khan effect?

Re: Imran to focus on KPK uplift

To attack another woman's character like this is shameful.

Re: Imran to focus on KPK uplift

Lets hope he now keeps his focus on KPK.

Re: Imran to focus on KPK uplift

its never too late....so good!

i will say one more thing....in the end, he is running a party which is not a regional party like ANP or MQM. He is the CEO of a country wide party so he has to spend time in other provinces especially in punjab strategizing and planning. he cannot and shd not focus 100% on KP. That will be a failure strategy. He needs a better hands-on CM in KP who shd be more proactive and Khan shd have more operating reviews with him.

For example, why in the world KPK's CM was in the container so often for all these months? dharna was not a KPK initiative. his job was to run KPK not to dance in dharna.

Re: Imran to focus on KPK uplift

was there any ?
My line was
**"and went back to his life after marrying another like him"
**if this is attack , I am not sorry for this .
Allah millai jori ..............

Re: Imran to focus on KPK uplift

No local government elections in KPK also
Is there any difference between other parties and PTI ?

Re: Imran to focus on KPK uplift

too early to say but she seems like a good combination of brain and beauty. She is a really attractive woman but she seems very mature as well. I am impressed by her career progression and motivation. She was not doing anything career related in her first marriage...then got divorced from a abusive husband, finished her education, then to BBC in increasingly important roles, then to Pakistan for a difficult assignment and now wife of a prominent politician...plus raising 3 kids!

Re: Imran to focus on KPK uplift

agree about brain , how she did this all , proved the brains behind

Re: Imran to focus on KPK uplift

la howal walla quwata illah billah…

Re: Imran to focus on KPK uplift

Never too late.. jab jaago tab savera

Though long term development projects take time to materialize and they have wasted precious time. But its a step in right direction and hope he can start a unstoppable cycle of growth which will keep on going even after his government.

This also starts a competition among states to outdo each other.

Re: Imran to focus on KPK uplift

I hope she can keep the bad company away from IK...

lets wait and see, 1st women do play very important role in the development of leaders, no harm if Rehaam Khan can advice him on his wrong moves, the lady have seen world outside the well, she may have observed the politicians and leaderships as well, she can be an asset for IT and PTI...

Re: Imran to focus on KPK uplift

This is exactly why I said the parents' protest was the thing that happened to PTI. Wake call can be a wonderful thing provided the person receiving it has some shame and sense of responsibility left.

thought he should have stayed in the parliament and launched the movement from within.
This is such a clichéd and cringe worthy view. Below is the reality of 'movement from within' in the Parliament.
Out of 58 private members’ bills tabled in the lower house since June 1, 2013, not a single could grab attention of any prominent lawmaker. These bills pertain to important issues like children’s rights, women’s rights, constitutional amendments, criminal procedures, torture, harassment and Hindu marriages.
Of the 18 bills tabled by the treasury benches in parliament, 15 sailed through the house. Apparently, not a single of these proposed laws was linked to public interest, as the subjects of these bills are bureaucracy, law and justice commission, Federal Public Services Commission (FPSC) and Services Tribunals, a parliamentary official said.
This is the same parliament where Interior Minister stood up and told Imran that 'don't stress about 4 constituencies, we'll open up 40 constituencies for you'. I don't blame people for not taking that club of crooks seriously. If the good for nothing Nawaz Sharif and his inept cronies had any shame, instead of wasting so much public fund of running TV ads against PTI, buying journalists and doing mud slinging in press conferences, they could've passed legislation after legislation to genuinely sort out the issue of electoral reform considering they virtually faced no opposition in the parliament once PTI was on the streets. Mullah Fazlu was cheered for name calling protesters, he became a hero overnight for 'democracy lovers', Chacha Zayee was hailed for taking lame digs at the Army, Prime Minister was defended for blatantly lying on the parliament floor. But exactly how many those lawmakers came forward with the bill to actually 'fix the system'. Aitzaz Ahson admitted that large scale rigging had indeed taken place and protesters are holding genuine grievances. He gave year's best speech in the Parliament when he looked at the PMLN bench and referred to them as stupid 'Papu Patwaris' but did he launch a movement to fix the system which he firmly believed is rotten? Why all these responsibilities to fix Pakistan falls on Imran's shoulders, if that is the case then he is right in saying that make me a Prime Minister.

I'm interested to know exactly how Immy could've launched a movement from within the parliament, perhaps stand up on the table and get his megaphone out and pretend he is Socrates on trial who needs to make his best and the last speech to the world when Janab e Speakers turns off him mic and tells him to shut up and sit down as his time is up?

The parents protest and the impact it made on Imran has reinforced my belief in the sheer power of genuine public protest. Imran led a much needed and valuable election campaign to highlight the curse of electoral rigging in Pakistan, and politics of muk mukka between two families who have turned Pakistan into a rotten oligarchic regime in the name of democracy. It is unfortunate that he couldn't take any decisions home, and left everything hanging in the air due to his own stubborn idealism mainly.

PTI must continue to a play role of strong opposition in Punjab since PPP is done and dusted there, but it also needs to keep routine checks on KPK government.

Yeh 63 sal kay budhay ki chokidari ka khial achha hay

Re: Imran to focus on KPK uplift

yawn Grasping at straws is pretty pathetic. If the PTI can not even accept responsibility for failing to control Polio, terrorism, crime or anything worth value then how can they fix it.

And please don't get me started on their education drive which resembles books in Taliban areas of Afghanistan.

Re: Imran to focus on KPK uplift

aankh khul gayee bhai kee?

They need to "pait-bharayee" of their MNAs :(
