read these books so many times and i am pro imran fridi was no where near as interesting and his bleeding black force was like cinderella’s fairy God mother. But then Qasim and Hameed were hilarious.

I have read number of original Imran series novels when i was like 12/13...sigh but i don't remember much now. I still remember one of them called "Dr Duaago"..if anyone remembers it please let me know :D

Dr. Dua go was one of the best Imran series novels. I remember Imran getting emotional when Martha, Dr. Duago's secretary died. It was Imran series no 50.

opne copy cat of ibn e safi was N. safi, which looks almost like ibn when written in urdu, but n safi's version of irman series were almost soft porn like. They were quite prejudiced towards bahais.

Ohh not only N. safi there was lot of safis when ibn e safi ( israar ahmed ) got a nervous break down when he was writing " DErH MATWALAY".
The urdu book stores were full of novels written by N.A. safi, abban safi, ibn a.safi etc.
Aur yaqeenan woh tamam novel kachray k dher k alawa aur kuchh na thay.
shayad kam hi logon ko ilm hoga k ibn e safi aik shayer bhi thay
mash-hoor ghazal unn ki habeeb wali mohammed nay gayee hai

And yeah he also created the characters of “eeraj & aqrab” if someone remember !!! there were some novels i dont remember the names.

Fraudz is right, zafar was imran's lookalike and was used for the purpose in some novels.

Look alike - yes but in nature zafar was opposite.

^mirza yeah completely diff personalities, but his himaqatein were similar to Ali Imran so people could be confused that he was Imran.

In fact, there is only one novel by Ibn-e-safi available on the internet. That is “Jadon ki Talaash” of Imran Series. The link is http://urduseek.com/ibnesafi
Also, I am very depressed since Ibn-e-safi’s official website has been removed. It looked like someone else registered the domain name and the actual owners were a bit late to do that. It is a common mal-practice in the web world.

I agree, "peshras" was very interesting and to me, it was a way to communicate with the writer. Although a one-way communication but still, it was communication with the writer :D .
He gave a lot of good background information about himself and his work in those prefaces. I wish someone could compile all of those "peshrus" as a separate book.
