I wonder why was his statement released via his English ex-wife Jemima? Is there no capable leaders in his PTI party that he communicate this to? It is true what they say then that his party is just a one-man show. What a pathetic outfit.

He is a human there could be one million things wrong with him.
But he has vision of for pakistan. He loves pakistan. He has presented pakistan grace fully to the world(not cricket).
He already has changed the mind of millions in pakistan. If nothing I still respect him as a teacher for masses.
Things like that long before he started politics and right after he finished cricket.
Masses who were never addressed before.(they were made fool couple of times)
His passion of pakistan started by his articles about
Hepatitis B in pak and its after effects on liver.
Education system in pakistan reforms etc
Tax system. reforms
Aids situation in pkistan.
Lavish Structure of govt. in poor country.

party ppl are probably unde rhouse arrest and have no contact with media..which btw is arrested as well, so reaching out to jemima and have her release the statements was a smart thing to do.

no, and that is one big weakness of Imran.
he has dictatorial tendencies, which show in how he ran teh cricket team and how he runs his party, so its a weakness, he wants to maintain control. My understanding is that earlier PTI folks actually left because of that but recently he is attracting ppl, not household names..thank god..but good people, respected in their firlds,respected as individuals.
in due time he may learn that just like the nation is bigger than any President or PM, that a party is bigger than its founder. (althogh PPP kinda proves that theory incorect)

That's why he couldn't established himself as a proper politcial figure. Let's say ppl didn't let him to proper lead.

seee i look at it like this: He may just be the only one who thinks that as a successful politician, going to jail IS NOT certification of politics. Almost all the other politicians at one time or another HAVE gone to jails and they boast that they're true because they've suffered for the cause. I say not! more like they're convicts that are allowed to return to public office.
Going to jail should not become the seal of approval in politics. He did the right thing, thru the right channel and at the right time. He hasn't asked her for any political favors all this time, that shows his characteristic very clearly that he's not the 'get favor, rise above' type!

and that is why him getting in all kinds of alliances without making his position clear was a shock, I am talking about APDM, while there is no harm in cooperating for a common purpose, he went a little too far and stopped even talking about the wrongs of those regimes, that tome was the most disappointing.

true sir true, how could he?! Back stabbing he can't do and that's what he would in this very sense. He needs alliances and I had prefered him to go with BB, but this would go against his policies.

I'd rather see him (his promise being kept) with students ont he streets and getting arrested infront of all the publicity and media. But this needs planning, this would boost him and his image. No Doubts!

the way he could get elected on his individual standing is if people get supersmart real quick and figure out all these crooks and vote for him w/out alliances. I think he's waiting for the ppl to mature. it's sad ppl don't vote the ppl with vision, rather they go for who's got the numbers :(

Actually he played on his tribal and ethnic ties to win his seat, a lot like other politicians. There are even rumours he got some help from the spooks to get elected, as he was still on Musharraf's side at that time.
