Cricket hero Imran Khan’s father Mr. Ikramullah Khan Niazi passed away today (Wednesday, March 19) in Lahore at the age of 85.
He was not well recently and had been admitted to the ICU of Shaukat Khanum Hospital for the past 2.5 weeks. May Allah give strength and courage to Imran Khan and his family at this difficult moment.

LAHORE: Ikramullah Khan, father of Pakistan cricket star turned politician Imran Khan died here after a protracted illness on Wednesday.
He was 85. The funeral prayers will be held here at Zaman Park tomorrow (Thursday) at 9.00 am. Later his body will be transported to his native city Mianwali for burial.
Ikramullah Niazi has been survived by four daughters and a son, Imran Khan.

May Allah bless his soul. I know first hand how much hard work and dedication he displayed in the Shaukat Khanum Project, and how tirelessly he worked there to help the poor and needy patients. He was a good friend of my father. A great gentleman. May Allah give patience to his family and grant him a special place in Jannah! Ameen.
