Bhutto was a leader of Pakistan but Ik is total Zero in Sindh, Baluchistan,GB and AJK, Only very small in in KP and some popularity in central Punjab.
And in prevailing position of Pakistan , he can not be imposed by his bosses the establishment and the King of Pakistan.

I wouldn't say IK would not be a strong contender this coming election, I just don't think he'll win.
I would not either say the guy has no future when it comes to Pakistani politics or the possibility of becoming the head of state, but again, I just do not see it happening this time.
However, I would not doubt the guy when it comes to leadership qualities, he's led a team thats generally considered "troubled" to a World cup in Australia. Deserves the credit where its due imho.

His success as team captain and his leadership skills today are miles apart from each other. Do you know how much he has grown on a personal level?
To suggest that he led a "troubled" cricket team to a world cup victory is testimony to his ability to lead a party to victory in a national election is just comical.
I am constantly bombarded by opinions of folks that understand very little about Pakistani politics save for naray -baazi.......as long as this is the crew that supports Imran, we have little hope of him becoming PM.

Bhutto was a total zero as well in East Pakistan, Sarhad, Balochistan and AJK...he was no leader of Pakistan...70 odd seats versus 150 of Mujeeb...

Ik is asking for governorship of Karachi or Sindh. Make new provinces and make him governor of Lahore/Punjab He is only a leader of some kids of Central Punjab.

Please, dont compare Bhutto with Imran. It took bhutto only 4 years from the inception of his party to become the president of pakistan. Imran could not win a single proper seat in NA in last 14 years.
You are right, we cannot compare Bhutto and Imran because Imran is a much better person and a leader than Bhutto.
Imran didn't use the shoulders of a dictator (mushy) to become prime minister despite an offer while Bhutto used the shoulders of Ayub.
Imran will hopefully never stab our industrial sector in the back for decades to come as did Bhutto through his pathetic nationalization policy. Pakistan's booming industrial sector which made it surpass other neighboring nations was ruined by Bhutto's nationalization for decades to come.
Imran will also hopefully not use degrading words and hate against a large portion of pakistan and pakistanis as was done by Bhutto "yahan hum wahan tum"....... search youtube for the shameful words he used for bengalis. Imran will never cause the breakup of Pakistan just to stay in power as did Bhutto.
Imran has never and will never introduce the policy of appointing outsiders (who have never served an institution) as the heads of institutions based on their ethnicity....... this was the first time in Pakistan that Bhutto introduced this concept of appointing outsiders (mainly people from his province) as heads of organizations regardless of their experience and competency....... a tradition PPP holds up as of today as well.
Quite frankly I think it has become a fashion to praise Bhutto without reading history. Just kneeling before Bhutto doesn't make him the best thing under the sun, unfortunately he did some pretty bad things.
Maybe Imran khan will take longer to come to power, but I would prefer a clean and sincere leader like him even it takes decades than have some corrupt thug ruin my country and life even if he comes in power quickly.

In last few weeks, I've been listening to Imran Khan's speeches, talk shows etc. He seems to be the only beacon of light in the darkness that has taken over every nook and corner of our beloved country.
Today, I was listening to "Khari Baat" a show of Mubashar Luqman where Imran Khan and Hassan Nisar were guests. One suggestion that Hassan Nisar and Mubashar Luqman gave to IK was to start mobilizing the masses NOW against the corruption and current political mafia.
I totally agree with Hassan Nisar. I think, in politics, TIMING IS EVERYTHING. Today, Pakistan is burning, Karachi is burning, corruption is at its top, morality has never seen such low levels as we see now, people are dying by bullets, hunger and no one is standing up for their rights. There is no justice in Pakistan. Mafias and ghundas are running the affairs of our country. There is no protection for majorities or minorities. Chrisitians, hindus, ahmadis are butchered everyday at the hands of religious extremists.
If today, people of Pakistan don't rise against the injustice and socio-economic horrors that are brought to us by these Political Mafia, then we can safely say 'good-bye' to Pakistan. It is very close to becoming a failed state.
I think, NOW IS THE TIME THAT PTI NEEDS TO MOBILIZE THE MASSES AND COME OUT TO STREETS OF PAKISTAN AND DEMAND JUSTICE. IT IS NOW OR NEVER.
I humbly request MR. IMRAN KHAN to trust the people of Pakistan and give a 1 MONTH DEAD LINE to GOVT. OF PAKISTAN to bring the affairs of state in control OR PEOPLE OF PAKISTAN WILL DO IT FOR THE SAKE OF PAKISTAN. IF WE HAVE TO GIVE OUR LIVES ANYWAY, WE SHOULD GIVE IT FOR THE SAKE OF PAKISTAN.

I remember in one show, Hasan Nisar was saying that MQM's coming to Punjab is blessing for the people of Punjab... now from here onwards we can figure the thought process of Hasan Nisar...
Anyway, saying IK is the only hope is bit to much and i think shows how low of Pakistani think about Pakistan, the nation will emerge and develop only when it wants to, so far, sitting at home hoping for change would only bring the change Obama brought to USA.
On TV no one says that he don't have passion to solve the problems of People, but on ground the things are totally different, same is the case with Imran Khan, who talks alot and have no backing.
The Change in the leadership of Pakistan is call of the hour, but we need to see a capable person delivering the change, the leader is one who can lead, have ability to build / appoint better advisers, who can organize better, if one cannot have these, then all it create is havoc, Imran is trying to encash the gap of politcal leadership same as bhutto did in late 60s, but unlike bhutto, Imran fails to organize his party at any level, you may see him and his party worker alot on TV or at Internet, but on ground they have no organizational structure nor does they have got any thing which backs their claim.
On the ground, all we see is unorganized youth chanting for IK and that is it.... nothing more... Had he be serious, he could have used these 14 years to organize his party, to train and develop his political activist, he have done nothing in these years but have criticize others and few of those critics show his mental capability, like, All parties in Pakistan are family business or lead by a personality ( Hello, what about PTI, we never heard about any elections there)...

Ms. Bholi Bhali......I don't think that anyone doubts his "lagan" for his country. The problem is that this "lagan" or passion alone will not win elections or bring change.

You may believe that it is a fashion to praise Bhutto.....I can't comment on that......but if we compare the good that Bhutto did for the country to the good that subsequent leaders have done then I'm afraid that he does prove to be the lesser of many, many evils.
I can't imagine any sincere Pakistani citizen living inside or out of the country that doesn't want a clean and sincere leader for the nation. Fact is, we can't bring him to power with just IK zindabad kay naray.

There is no doubt about it. When he founded PPP in 1967 at Gul-e-Rana Club in Karachi, it took off immediately. He gave socialistic agenda of roti, kaprha oar makan and gave awareness to poor masses for their rights. His party became very much popular with in no time in West Pakistan. Off course he had very intelligent people with him who laid down the solid foundation. PPP is still alive because of him. On the other hand even lapse of seven years IK's PTI is wandering and is nowhere near to PPP or even near to PML(N). I don't know how people can expect that IK is the only hope. Perhaps he will remain few people's hope for ever nothing less nothing more. I can only say that:

PPP is not same as it was at the time of ZAB.
IK is not popular among masses because most the majority population are in villages and still obeying the order of land lords.

as Muzna said, these are not credentials of Imran, this is just a hope list which we dont have any way to substantiate. Plus I was not praising bhutto, all I was saying is that there is no comparison. When you compare a one time NA seat winner to the only president of Pakistan who completed his 5 years, you are insulting the process of democracy.
