So you are agreeing (based on your original premise) that in a any "civilised society" people like Imran Khan, Benzir Bhutto, Qazi Hussain etc and would have been tried for supporting an act of treason and probably hanged as well?
Also, "Immi" knew very well that Musharraf would still be around today, as he supported his Presidential Election Referendum in 2002, so that line is not very convincing.
But then Mush had promised everyone then that he would remove his uniform by end of 2004. So the support was very much based on that understanding. But I also blame ALL the politicians here. The day Mush went back on his promise all the parties regardless of their differences should have shown solidarity with each other by resigning from parliament and this fraudulent presidential re-election would have never come to pass.

Even Russia had succeeded on same accounts but they ended up withdrawing totally and that was wiser of them.... Bush has US bleeding in Afghanistan not just its soldiers but its economy as well.
Russians withdrew because of their own political instability.
