Imran was a ball tamperer and he passed down this disease to the next generation of bowlers. Imran, Wasim, Waqar, Akhter all were cheaters and that's the reality, now if you can't accept this fact than i can't do anything about it.
He needs to get a life is all I can say ... while Wasim Akram was making world records for Pakistan he was busy bashing him, just so that he could come in lime light and get into the team or blame his ouster for team which was due to bad performance on board and politics ... and I guess till date that is all he is good at ... since he joined PMLN so he turned his guns at Imran Khan ... Encouraged Pakistani bowlers to temper with the ball? LOL has to be the joke of the century
For me he is responsible for the current state of Pakistan cricket along with few others whose unproved allegation destroyed Pakistan team in ninties and early 21st century ... we could not recover from the set backs till date
Yea and the entire world was blind not to see that? The cameras that were always glued to catch one mistake of Pakistani players could not catch wasim or waqar tamper with the ball when all eyes were on them?

I would say it were actually Saeed Anwer and Aamir Sohail who popularized attacking opening. They were fond of 'fishing outside off' and were more or less successful given the talent and the kind of wickets they played on. This approach works if you have excellent hand-eye coordination, good wrist work, instincts and placid wickets (Aamir Sohail made 37 runs off 8 matches in England) but most of the good openers play with straight bat. And then we had Afridi opening... :(

Ball tempering has hurted our batting badly.
How come ball tamperer of England are okay, England are still producing fine batsmen? If IK tutored ball tampering to bowlers then why we don't have a big line of fine bolwers?

Two new balls and too much monitoring now a days. 27 or more HD cameras in the ground, umpires keeping the ball in their pocket after the end of overs and during the fall of wickets.
Look at Gul he is the prime example of our past. He sucks with the new ball and becomes a different bowler when the ball is old and reversing.

only in T20Is
New ball or Old ball, Gul was always a mediocre test and ODI bowler. Talent and ability wise he is not in the league of the aforementioned bowlers. Imran and the two W's etc. most certainly did not suck with the new ball

None of them is known for their new ball heroics. Don't mention an odd 2, 3 matches.

When ball was reversing in ENG 2010 series Gul single handedly won us a couple of matches. If Gul was a bowler in the dinosaur(70's,80's,90's) era he would had been a far better bowler he is in the current modern era where every little thing is monitored.

In the dinosaur era likes of Gul would be shaving beard of the dinosaurs, definitely not bowling.
What i meant was things were not monitored back than. Bottle caps, Thumbs scratching, jumping on ball with spiked shoes etc etc.
so how come some bowlers are still able to do reverse swing? How do you know if in county matches there are tons of cameras watching all bowlers? Why England is able to produce fine batsmen against similar cheating-technique bowlers while Pakistan is unable to do that (as per Aamir's claim)?
BTW reverse swing was not the only armor of Pakistani pace bowlers.

Main Armour to win.
Eng produces world class batsman due to their tough domestic system and grass root infrastructure, they empathize on technique, temperament, mental toughness etc. Their coaches teaches and encourage players to be better test players. Here our fans are obsessed with sixes only, crappy sloggers like afridi are hailed as heroes. Proper technique or the ability to play swing or bounce is a dream for our batsman. There are few talented batsman in the country but they are not learning and improving. Talent is not everything you have to improve your overall skills too. Some of our talented players are idolizing jokers like afridi which has hurted their progress and many has regressed since their debut(Umar akmal/Ahmed).
Seriously do you actually think this reverse swing obsession is wide spread in county cricket?? Most of the bowlers there are seam bowlers, they have few bowlers who reverse the ball in International matches not every ENG bowler does that.
English bowlers get enough assistance from the pitch (moist, green, bouncy, pacy, so the ball seams off the pitch) + conditions favour swing or movement in the air. They don't have to wait for the ball to get 30 or 40 overs old so they can start reverse swinging it. However over the years some of their bowlers have also mastered the art of reverse swing (in particular Anderson and Flintoff)
Sub-continental bowlers don't have that luxury. The pitches are dry, so the ball doesn't move much off the seam, pitches are slow and lack bounce + conditions are not really that helpful for swing bowling. Hence reverse swing with the old ball is so important. Despite this obvious disadvantage, for Wasim, Waqar and Imran to have as good a bowling record as some of the best West Indian, English and Australian bowlers (who play most of their cricket on helpful pitches with pace and bounce) in history is no mean achievement

you are stating the obvious. All of them were ball tamperers, it was their no.1 weapon. Some were even caught doing it on tv many times waqar was fined and suspended. Even the ex-cricketers themselves admitted that they were cheaters like imran and shoaib did.
what amir sohail said was 100% correct. Only those who don't anything about our history are denying it and die hard cult followers of imran will obviously never accept it.
People are shooting the messenger instead of looking at facts and most of these people are imran die hards.
Is obsession with reverse swing prevalent in Pakistani domestic scene?
If most bowlers in Pakistan domestic scene are obsessed with reverse swing, how does that effect batting capabilities of our players?
If reverse swing hurts Pakistani batsmen, how did Younis, Yousaf, Saeed Anwer improve their skills?
If ball tempering is the reason for the success of IK, Wasim and Waqar, how come IK has better batting record than Aamir Sohail?
If ball tempering leading to reverse swing was the main weapon for Imran Khan and Wasim Akram, wouldn’t opening batsmen have better records against them than batsmen coming lower down the order? The opposite is true, however.
It is only cult followers of a certain don who have a problem with IK. Reverse swing is not synonymous with ball tampering. It is an art. If one could reverse swing by merely scratching the surface of the ball then every Tom Dick & Harry would become a world class bowler. Ball tampering is clearly wrong. 3 of IK's 6 10-fors in tests are in Australia, West Indies and England. So it was not all about reverse swing with him
