Maybe its your dream to see Khan sahib marrying BB but for Khan sahib it would be a nightmare.

You mean those Big vote banks. :) Seriously guys dont u think that this marriage would have been a win win situation for both of them politically. Leave the personal stuff out just on political basis I think both of them would have faired a lot better. He has the chrisma and she has the votes.

Imran Khan wants to be the ruler of the country, not the Chairman of a frikkin' cricket board. Yesterday he blamed Musharraf for the loss against Ireland.
By the way, the first post is not really clear. Are you criticizing Imran for saying it or wishing that someone like Imran comes forward now.

Its better to keep your trap shut when you don't know what you are talking about - He himself doesnt care about becoming the chief or anything its the nation, the people of Pakistan who want him to take the stand - while he was playing cricket he retired at his will unlike kapil dev who said he wont retire unless he breaks/makes a record...

I said it in some other thread and i am saying this again...Imran Khan as the PCB chief would be accepted with wide arms open, the way he talks makes one think that no one else knows as much as he knows about the game of cricket -
Imran Khan as a Politician or the prime minister would never be accepted - i really dont think he can do that job well...so its better he grabs things which are at his reach rather then stretching himself and later on hurting himself..

With Musharraf running the country for another 4-5 years or so
Its better to do something which is more productive for average Pakistanis like making our cricket team great again than running a political party which has so far benefited not 1 pakistani

I have to disagree with you here. When a** holes like Jatoi (usse kukh nahin aata), Ch. Shujaat and Nawaz Sharif (and many others before them) can become PM, then why can't he. Even Musharraf has been a huge disappointment. He has gone back on several of his initial promises. The same old corrupt faces (who we were all fed up of seeing in previous governments) form the bulk of his cabinet, nothing much has changed under him and Pakistan is surviving mainly on handouts and financial aid from the US. Ofcourse no one wants extremism or talibanisation of Pakistan but Musharraf is merely licking the soles of the feet of Bush.
Imran faces the same problems as any new politician/political party for instance would face in USA and UK. His party has n't yet broken thru at grass roots level. In Pakistan the masses are still more likely to vote for the two main political parties PPP and PML (cf. Labour and Conservative in UK, Democrats and Republicans in US). Whether or not his party can overome this obstacle in the coming years remains to be seen.
Anyways this is supposed to be a cricket forum and let me just say that there's no doubt in my mind that Imran Khan would make an excellent PCB Chairman but now maybe is not the right time for him as he will never serve under/take orders from Mushy/military dictator

100%...he cares less about that....although I disagree with that...he should care and take it and fix the whole setup.....
I am sure from his ranks he can find REAL ppl who will manage it much better.
