Not a fan of MQM at all, but we do have to be pragmatic about the ground realities. MQM is the third largest political party in the country. I dont see any reason for PTI to not try to work out some sort political reconciliation.

Wrong. PPP, PML(N), NAP, JUI(F), PML(Q) and so on........how in the hack this hell cult party is 3rd largest which only represents Urban Sindh (Karachi & Hyderabad) on thinic bases. I don't understand your logic here. IK is . He was not a politician and he never will be....

As much as someone hates MQM, facts remain the same. MQM is 4th largest political party by number of seats and by number of votes in National assembly.

Now if they are cult or killers or bhatta khoor or not thats a totally different topic.

I'll be the first one to admit that MQM is not third but fourth largest political party based on the number of seats they hold in the lower house. However, you are wrong on the MQM being an ethnic political party. They have transformed themselves from being an only Urdu speaking political party to a national political party. As far as your comment about Imran Khan is concerned, that's very subjective; to me he is definitely a politician.

Actually, I read more about this, and I also read what Altaf said the other day. While I have no doubt his intentions were to gain from the anti-american senitments that are soaring high in the public and use that to his advantage to get the people on his side (Imran is doing the same thing), I wll actually commend him for his statement the other day.

Yes, I applaud Altaf Hussain for saying that, no matter what his intentions are because he said the 'right thing', though a little late. If Altaf's party let's go of the whole militant aspect, I will commend them, even if they are corrupt like any other party. They need to do that if they want to transform into a national party.

So what if Imran has spoken and if he have tried to work out the differences between him and MQM... ??? MQM are from Pakistan and they represent large portion of Pakistan in assemblies... it is far more better to engage in a dialogue to sort out difference then get into gun-battle...

good hear these things, we need to learn to tolerate each other, so people who are using all the abusive language for Imran Khan for talking to MQM, are among those who advocate peace and dialogue with our long standing enemies... at least MQM is Pakistani party and they have tried hard to get out of the label of being ethnic party... which BTW so-called National Political Parties are trying hard to adopt... Sindh Card would provide a good hint....

Imran considers Altaf a terrorist, even worse than khariji terrorists in FATA. He tried his best to have him arrested in Britain.
So now how come he is willing to such a person?

It is different from matters between two states. And justifying him by comparing him to PMLN and PPP is absurd. Because if he does the same thing as PMLN and PPP then he is just like what they are ... a hypocrite.

LOL and say goodbye to any future of PTI in Punjab. PTI "supposedly" has a good chance in Punjab, though it remains to be seen if central / northern punjab will shake off PML-n in an election. If Imran becomes too close to MQM, PTI can be written off using this "excuse" from punjabi politics.

Sudden change of heart is surprising. mqm is not only corrupt but party of merciless killers. There is difference between mqm and other main stream parties which may be corrupt but definitely not criminal killers. A paty leader is surviving in landan only because he belongs to agency and on its payroll. Once he really betrays his masters, he will be deported immediately in chains and handed over to Pakistan authorities for trial of murders he committed. Rest assure.

Zulfiqar Mirza's PPP Sindh is the same. You are only blaming one party which mainly belongs to Urdu speakers, and overlooking another party which belongs to Sindhi speakers.
