The denial of sex may be “stupid, barbaric, immature” and so on, but I recall it being a step in the Quranic recommendation for disciplining wives - verbal admonishment and beating her (lightly, of course) with a toothbrush being the other 2 steps. You’d never think sex sanctions and toothbrush beating would work wonders in resolving marital discord, but there ya go.

Wow, that’s your own interpretation of the Quranic verses? Pretty messed up I must say.
