First no one disagrees that 2 parents household is the best environment for raising children.

2nd, your post is based on wrong assumptions b/c not all children coming from single households are born out of wedlock. In many cases children born out wedlock still have 2 parents. They may just not be married. Also, some of the children your taking about maybe coming from divorce parents. In fact, any psychologist will tell you that divorce can have lasting and harmful impact on an early development of a child. So, the family dynamics are changing & traditional idea of family will displeasure in next 50 years in developed countries.

doesn’t marriage show a responsibility and commitment? Can you present a statistic where out of wedlock children could get attention of both the parents for a longer time as compared to married couples. Out of wedlock relationships lacks commitment and will to take responsibility. Marriage is not a guarantee, but atleast it shows commitment.

Besides that, we were talking of religion, and people who follow any of the religion in world don’t want to be indulged in out of wed lock relationships. no?
