I know many people in my community who are successful women, and their husbands stay at home. Mashallah they're doing well. There's even one that I know whose husband went to prison for money laundering, (and he's out now) and the wife is a dentist. Mashallah they are very happy now that he's out of prison!
Sometimes the breadwinner wife thing doesn't work for some people, however. So it just depends on what kind of person you are, and what your preferences are.
