yes they have different heads. It would be strange if this river would have been part of Punjab though as like even this article mentions that it spans 470 Kms and joins satluj in Punjab. Indus makes more sense as compared to Beas.

I think head overs of all these rivers are somewhere in Himalyas / Kashmir, so all these rivers including Indus have to travel to reach Punjab’s territory.
