Implications Of Lal Masjid/Red Mosque Events

  1. It shows the world that muslims, especially Pakistanis are suffering from the menace of mullahtic loonies.

  2. People in Pakistan are getting sick of the mullahtic loonies and their nonsense.

  3. Govt. of Pakistan and Musharraf are setting an example on how to deal with these mullahtic loonies – with a cool mind and iron fist.

  4. Out of this mess, moderate muslims got a vindicating and very fitting image of a mullatic loonie: A bearded loony dressed in a woman’s burqua!!!

Re: Implications Of Lal Masjid/Red Mosque Events

also shows that these big talker defenders of the faith, are cowards who are good only for bak bak, when push comes to shove either they run away like wimps or hold children hostages. they can brainwash people to go commit attacks but when they are in trouble they use children as shields to get safe passage to go join other idiots.

I mean nothing that sensible people did not know already but maybe some more ppl will get theri wake up call.

Re: Implications Of Lal Masjid/Red Mosque Events

Someone should send Fazloo with them also, he was protesting on GEO why they are stripping them of their shirts, its very humiliating, they do not want to have their moti tonds exposed.

In short the implications will be one of two either sharp increase in hostility towards the government by religious organizations or decline in pulic support for such organizations now especially when the people can see that the mullahs abandoned the women and children. Ghairat can be a powerful tool depending on who you turns in towards.

Re: Implications Of Lal Masjid/Red Mosque Events

Ghairat is especially a powerful tool in Pakistan. You can be of any educated class, and seeing women and kids get put in the line of fire by a maulvi is enough to shake anyone's faith in these characters.

What's really interesting is to see all the debate on the media these days. Shows upon shows with live debates - where people are FINALLY questioning Islamic extremists and asking the question of "how long can this behavior be tolerated?"

I'd like to see interviews of every student in the Masjid - to see where there sentiments are.

Re: Implications Of Lal Masjid/Red Mosque Events

instead of looking else where lets start looking here on GS.

all those who jump a mile when someone says anything about these fckd up mullahs are quite and didn't even come to his defense, what happened to all the mullah squad on GS?

these GS idiots will be back here doing there rants in the name of islam in few days when things cool down a bit. but they should learn from this and see that majority of GS is of moderate version of islam and not the fanatic type,

Re: Implications Of Lal Masjid/Red Mosque Events

Public debate and discourse is an amazing thing. American Founding Fathers had the right idea when they bequeathed property/halls/parks to their cities/towns for free public discourse and debate.

Re: Implications Of Lal Masjid/Red Mosque Events

Yes is definitely a very powerful one in Pakistan. The problem is that Jub ghairat jaag uthti hai to saaray ke saaray jahil bun jatay hain. But then it also has its uses. Could be very effective for exploitation in situations as the current one. Masses are never moved by sensibility but by their ghairat or emotion.

Re: Implications Of Lal Masjid/Red Mosque Events

they saw one of the leaders escaping in a woman's burqua. what do you think it did to their self-esteems?

Just post pictures of their hero escaping in a burqua. They'll get the idea.

Re: Implications Of Lal Masjid/Red Mosque Events

to me it implies that pakistani public is pray to falling in the hands of such characters if they will be ignored continuously. shouting anti mullah, bad this and bad that wont help the situation nor will the application of force. if that was true the terror incidents should have decreased world wide after the first holy war but sadly contrary is the case.
to me this entire incidents implies an incompetent lazy sleazebag of a government can stoop to any level even putting civilians at risk to send a crazy stuffed up idea about pakistan to show how crucial it is for the current regime to stay.
these characters have been around from last 40 or 50 years why is it that normal people are now falling into their hands? until and unless pakistanis dont get rid of self serving governing class the situation will only deteriorate.

and anyone who translates this post into me advocating the two brother is crazy out of wits.

Re: Implications Of Lal Masjid/Red Mosque Events

Damned if they do, damned if they don't.

Re: Implications Of Lal Masjid/Red Mosque Events

do you honestly think that this haphazard way was the best manner in which force could have been applied? addmitedly it was an unplanned action, what would it take for this moronic govt to actually ever plan something?
why were the orphans from flood areas in this mosque? these kids later grow into madrassas student who swap gunfire with govt. its a twisted world.

Re: Implications Of Lal Masjid/Red Mosque Events

Haphazard? Do you know what happened in Waco Texas? Janet Reno would've been dancing with joy had she caught David Koresh (sp?) fleeing in a skirt.

Re: Implications Of Lal Masjid/Red Mosque Events

Croquet, don't be so harsh on the present regime. They're not perfect, but can you take any other regime and describe to me how you think they've done a better job? Additionally, can you advise of anyone else better fit for the job?

Also, keep in mind what the Pakistani resources right now are probably alike. This same government is spending I don't know what in Balochistan and other southern areas hit by the cyclone for repair and damage control and taking care of the citizens (if some middle man nazim robs the people of what they're supposed to get then that's a problem at the local level, not national). Additionally, the amount of money poured in to make sure Karachi's main streets and underpasses were not flooded was pretty tremendous as well. Add to that the expenses continuously going to fight similar religious freaks at the NWFP-Afghan border (if the Lal Masjid stunts shocked you, I can only imagine that the antics at the border are probably even more shocking).

They've put this seige on the masjid, to not harm the people inside it. Expenses of having a capitol city basically shut down for more than 2-3 days now, people locked up inside their homes and no business or work being done in the capitol city outside from extremely important government measures...

I gotta say. The government has had a pretty taxing month, and they've handled things as smoothly as any massively illiterate and uneducated and poor 3rd-world country could manage.

Re: Implications Of Lal Masjid/Red Mosque Events

the sad thing is that those in power will take above as a compliment. and i'll be damned before i congradulate them for being a moron. one of the many reasons why pakistan has stayed into third world is because we are content to do no work and cop no criticism. i am sick of the current regime and the idea of the dictator drives me up the wall and paindoo, incompetent, twistish dictator even more so. in fact i am so depressed by the entire fiasco that i am wondering whether tindoo would be a better replacement. and **that **is speaking volumes. you can attribute it to the factor pcg that i actually have made an attempt of moving back and settling and though i still havent given up i cannot live in pakistan and consider the govt in any better light than the brothers, in fact worse since govt is in position to do much more.

Re: Implications Of Lal Masjid/Red Mosque Events

hey man things could have been done russia style with liberal nerve gas usage, problem solved in a few hours.

but then people would never let anyone involved live it down.

or they could have pulled a US style attack, when janet reno did david koresh in i.e. teh waco assault.

maybe they should have emulated Russia and US, and not this third world approach trying to minimize casualties

Re: Implications Of Lal Masjid/Red Mosque Events

^what ever u do fraudia dont compliment this half arsed action plan  i seriously hope you had a reason for calling it quits to living in pakistan and was that reason the mullah or the govt?

Re: Implications Of Lal Masjid/Red Mosque Events

Really? How did you conclude that?

Re: Implications Of Lal Masjid/Red Mosque Events

Why should I tell you?

One could conclude many things from such auditory effects and none of them would exclude a penchant for Burquas. :hehe:
