Noah (AS) was constructing the ship, whenever his opponents passed by him. They made fun of him. They mocked at him. This means that they teased him and rejected his threat that they would drown in the forthcoming flood. They said to Noah (AS) that there will be **no flood* don’t threat us. Even if there is we will take refuge to this mountain; as his son told him. Similarly you are saying that there will be no Mehdi(AS). Even if there was one to come, people won’t believe him.
People deny or believe in him this is up to them but we can not deny that he will be. Recognizing him; whether he is the genuine or the fake one. This issue is not associated only to him its with all other people who had certain claim. (true or false). We cant not deny those true ones because of our disability/weakness to recognize them.
Without doubt the awaited Mahdi will appear when Allah(swt) wills ;he is the first of the greater, and clear, signs of the Hour. There will be no doubt about his existence, but this will only be clear to the knowledgeable people. The Mahdi will rule until the False Messiah
(al-Masih al-Dajjal) appears, who will spread oppression and corruption.
The only ones who will know him well and avoid his evil will be those who
have great knowledge and Iman (faith).

I heard that Dajjal will be before Imam Mahdi.
His Reign as a Khalifh
There are different narration's regarding his reign as a Khalifh. Some traditions indicate that is reign will be seven years like the hadith of Umme Salama in Abu-Daud, ''He will remain seven years, then die, and Muslims will pray over him. '' (Abu-Daud)
Other traditions indicate that his reign will last seven, eight or nine years like the Hadith of Abu Saeed in Mustadrak.
Due to different traditions the period of Imaam Mahdi's reign is disputed. Many Scholars have taken seven years to be the period of his reign due to the fact that the Ahadith which indicate seven years are the most authentic. Other Scholars like Shah Rafiud-din, after careful analysis have concluded that the first seven years if his reign will pass without worry, he will spend the eight preparing to fight the Dajjal and spend the ninth with Prophet Isa (Jesus) He will thereafter die, Prophet Jesus will read his funeral prayer and bury him.

I received a weird text 'All muslims judgement day is near and Imam Mehdi had been born! It says in the Quran that Imam Mehdi will be born near the borders of Jerusalem when two moons have been spotted in the sky. BBC made a documentary a while ago saying that two moons had been spotted.'
As far as I know there is no mention of Imam Mehdi in the Quran and I feel the above text was sent to spread rumours etc. Can someone please share your knowledge and wisdom on this matter. BTW, this was one off those random forwarded texts that everyone receives without any knowledge of original sender!

first of all i dont belive that allah is not waitin to send him but he is waiting for us to be ready. we need to pure and stead fast in our hearts only then will he come and the signs appear.
second scholors have detrimnded that he will come between 20 - 30 years at most. its is every muslims duty to learn three things. those r to swim to ride a hourse and to use a sword or bow
third another hadith i remember is from imam ali in which he names three rulers of the 20th and 21st century and names their countrys. one of them is dead another is very old and the last has just come into power a couple a years ago. once they all die then the imam will appear
