Imam Mehdi will be the last leader on this Earth before the Qiyamat and Judgment day.
His Name will be Muhammad like our prophet name
He will be joined by Prophet Isa
he will rule the world from East to West with according to Islamic Ruling and jurisprudence
He will cleanse this earth from corruptions and filth and will bring back the Religion Al-Islam

as far as what i know about imam mehdi .....imam mehdi will be arriving after a ramadhan in which 2 eclipses 1 solar and 1 lunar will take place (hadith........rawah abu daud) this has taken place this year will also take plce next year as well 9&23 november .......(which is in ramadhan)
he will not arrive after dajjal .instead he will arrive before dajjal......he will rule for 7years then dajjal will arrive........all other predictions of rasul ALLAH s.a.w like jihad -e-hind will then take place

From what i read, Dajjal will rule first, cause terror on earth, victimise the muslims, and then Imam Mahdi will Arrive to relieve the muslims of thier hardship and suffering. I also noticed the eclipse signs, a lunar and a solar eclipse occuring in one month is very rare, its one of the clear signs which occured last year.
Dajjal will be a jew, but not necessarily 'one' guy. He could be a nation/organisation ect. Signs of Dajjal are pretty apparent.
good to see all muslims believe that Imam Mehdi will come and rule the world...only Allah knows when the Imam comes but i believe the Imam will come from Makkah

Thats not quite true. Followers of the 'Mehdavia Faith' known as MEHDAVIS believe that Imam Mehdi has already come and gone... which strikes me as strange given all the references from the Hadiths that have been quoted above.
Any Mehdavis on GS care to comment?

There is another source that say Imam Mehdi will first be seen in The 3rd Holiest Mosque in Bait Al Muqadis(Juruselam). The book is 'Sign of Judgement Day' by Ibn Kathir.

what i have recently is that there is a lot of confusion among muslims and those thinking that they are muslims(qadianees) about imama mehdi.................what was needed was to discuss here different concept s about imama mehdi and to come to a conclusion as to what r the common points in all sects and religion about iamam mahedi................and is it the time that he is about to arrive...........................world is changing dramitcaly.......it is in some hadith that iwhen mehdi will arrive then only those who r only pure in iman will survive others will perish ..........
