I fear that people might use the event to create another fitna. Although there is a consensus that the chain of narrations for that particular hadith is inaccurate, still people keep on speculating. As a wise person once said, there is mighty virtue in spiritual discretion.

Lunar eclipses: P=Partial; T=Total;
Central lunar eclipses are always total.
Solar eclipses: CA=Central and Annular; CT=Central and Total;
(T)=Total but non-central; P=Partial;
C=Central, alternating between Total and Annular.
Now there are three questions:
(1) Did Mirza know about it, i mean before the eclipse?
(2) What was his opinion about it?
(3) What is the correct hadith?
first of all i dont belive that allah is not waitin to send him but he is waiting for us to be ready. we need to pure and stead fast in our hearts only then will he come and the signs appear.
second scholors have detrimnded that he will come between 20 - 30 years at most. its is every muslims duty to learn three things. those r to swim to ride a hourse and to use a sword or bow
third another hadith i remember is from imam ali in which he names three rulers of the 20th and 21st century and names their countrys. one of them is dead another is very old and the last has just come into power a couple a years ago. once they all die then the imam will appear

What do you mean by *"khud kuch na karna"**?
well who's risen up and taken the challenges that face the "Ummah" head on? everyone's just complacent.. waiting for some dvine intervention in the form of "Mehdi".
I find it a cruel joke played on the Muslims.. just insert a few lines in their 'history' .. attribute these to their Prophet to make it look authentic and forever they wait for a Messiah to rescue them.
Last I heard he missed his connecting flight. Then the pilots went on strike, so hang in there he will be here shortly.

ok heres what i heard about imam mehdi.he will come after a time when there won't be a soul that could be called true muslims,even tough they would be the majority of the people of the world.they would win over isreal.dajjal will then tour the whole world and when he reaches madinah imam mehdi along with hazrat isa will protect the faithfuls from him in madinah..dajjal is the beast with one eye.this could be a personification of the force of one nation or one sided views of one nation eg.against muslims.there will also be a race of juge majuge ,(the gog and magog in bible thought to be giants) who would cause great trouble and famine through out the world.Dajjal is the anti christ in christian views and the promised king in jewish views.the jews believe he will rise from the soloman temple,thats why they want to destroy dome of the rock and al aqsa mosque.when these monuments will be destroyed dajjal will come out and help the jews to regain strenght,perhaps isreal back.u could watch the end of times by ary productions for more clearified views,i dont know when the end is but every day it is coming closer.would be something like out of a horror movie.......cool.wish to see it.

Inuit, I said mehdi missed his flight, you said it is the same joke as Noahs Wife, so I said wow I didnt know they had planes and you got all upset.
There is no mehdi. Even if there was one to come, people wont believe him. Would you, what if he is a fake, how would you personally tell that the guy is genuine. What is the barometer of gauging true mehdi vs a fake one.
Noone really knows when Imam Mehdi (AS) will appear, we know that it is really soon, but really soon can be in a year, 50 years, or even a few houndred years.

What do u mean there is no Imam Mehdi (AS). It is mentioned so many times that the world will get really corrupt Dajjal will take over, and then there will be a time when Imam Mehdi (AS) appears.
And anyone will be able to tell the difference between the true Mehdi and a fake. The fake will just be an ordinary person, and the true Mehdi will be the most pious person, u would be able to tell.
