Pakistan would be super rich and probably be something like Norway is right now. Karachi would look like Singapore and Lahore like Rome!
Re: Imagine if Pakistan had as much oil as the Mid East.
or chaotic and destroyed like Iraq and other Resource bearing African States!
Re: Imagine if Pakistan had as much oil as the Mid East.
lol. Funny thought. I think we might have already been eaten up by the great powers of today.
Re: Imagine if Pakistan had as much oil as the Mid East.
Only diff is even more would end up in Army and political elites pockets
Re: Imagine if Pakistan had as much oil as the Mid East.
Norway and other European people are fearless when it comes to sending their army overseas for making sure they remain in control. They are stable enough that once their army is overseas, the intellectuals keep the country in the “right” mooring.
Europeans became rich not by having their own natural resources, they became rich by taking away and processing natural resources from other countries. They developed technology, management systems, and strong armies that got the job done.
Pakistan army is fearless (minus some she-generals like Aslama Begum) but Pakistan intellectuals are pipsqueak lefties. The result is that our army is hamstrung due to internal squabbling. If we could use our killer instincts in Middle East and Africa, we won’t have any shortage of oil. It won’t matter if the oil is “from” Pakistan as long as it is oil “for” Pakistan.
Re: Imagine if Pakistan had as much oil as the Mid East.
So we should bomb the Arabs? I like the way you think.
Re: Imagine if Pakistan had as much oil as the Mid East.
Hahahaha. There are 50,000 Pakistani soldiers stationed in Saudi. Go and ask them to grab a few oil fields.
Re: Imagine if Pakistan had as much oil as the Mid East.
No they were recalled during the rule of our she-general Aslama Begum. Saudi stuff is stable at the moment. No gaurantees 10 years from now.
Iraq and Nigeria are ripe for the pickin’.
Re: Imagine if Pakistan had as much oil as the Mid East.
Did you ever read about the 1993 Somalia operation, in which Pak army was involved?
Re: Imagine if Pakistan had as much oil as the Mid East.
Pakistan would be just like the middle east. Culturally, our loyalty to family above nation, common with the middle east, makes us vulnerable to becoming corrupt dictatorships.
Re: Imagine if Pakistan had as much oil as the Mid East.
Yeap! what’s your point!
Pak army brought the American GIs safely from an awful mess. This was possible only because Paks were well equipped and well stationed. Pakistani APC’s and a large stadium base saved Americans that day.
Re: Imagine if Pakistan had as much oil as the Mid East.
Just (loaded) palaces and private jets for members of Senate and National assembly, the rest of Pakistan employed at oil reservoirs 24/7.
Re: Imagine if Pakistan had as much oil as the Mid East.
Are you being serious?! Have you forgot the last major war Pak Army was involved in?..1971 90,00 Pak troops SURRENDERED!
Since then, through various martial laws Army has become, less and less professional.
As for Somaila, to say Pak troops saved US troops is disengenous. Firstly all the fighting with the UN started when 2 dozen Pak troops were slaugtered by Somali militia.
Pak troops went to fight with Yanks, only because they were available, any other countries troops would do the same, with the same result.
For you to actually say Pak Army CAN and SHOULD invade other countries is a bad joke,on both counts.
Pak army is only good for forcing their rule on their own people.
Re: Imagine if Pakistan had as much oil as the Mid East.
I sugges you do your home work or shutup.
Pak Army fought gallantly in 1971, says Manekshaw
WASHINGTON-Pakistan army in East Pakistan fought very gallantly, but had no chance, Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw who led Indian army to victory in 1971 war has said in an interview to the BBC.
The 85-year-old former army chief was asked to what extent did he win in Bangladesh. He said the Pakistani troops fought gallantly but had no chance. “They were a 1,000 miles away from their base. And I had eight or nine months to make my preparations. I had a superiority of almost 50 to one…”
Asked about setbacks during the 13-day war, Manekshaw disclosed that on the fifth day of the conflict he told then premier Indira Gandhi that “everything had gone wrong. The navy lost the khukri. The air force lost a lot of aircraft on the ground. My advances in Bangladesh were halted”.
“She looked at me and smiled and said you can’t win everyday, Sam. And then she turned around and said anyway we will not tell anybody … Let everybody know that nothing has happened”.
He said it was true that he had written a personal letter to a Pakistani captain S.R. Malik for defending his garrison in Kamalpur in Bangladesh “stoutly” despite “hard” Indian attempts to capture it. “We did not succeed until about the third attempt…” He said he had even recommended Captain Malik’s name for a gallantry award to the Pakistani army chief.
To a question why he did not migrate to Pakistan as he belonged to the frontier force regiment, the Lahore-born former Indian Army Chief disclosed that the founder of Pakistan Muhammad Ali Jinnah “did ask me. But I said I have finished commanding. I am now an Indian, I have married an Indian girl and now I am here”. After the 1971 conflict Ms Gandhi elevated him to the rank of Field Marshal but did not offer him the job of chief of defence staff. She did offer him the post of high commissioner in the UK and that of Maharashtra governor both of which he declined. Referring to his days in the 1930s during the World War II “Burma campaign” Manekshaw said:``The Japanese had put nine bullets into my stomach. My lungs, liver, kidneys, intestines everything was perforated. Nobody thought I would live".
Re: Imagine if Pakistan had as much oil as the Mid East.
Only the Pathans in the Pak army have the stomach to fight. Just like the Sikhs in the Indian army, while both these hardy fighters are controlled by flabby oily generals of the Brahmin caste. I mean look at Musharraf. He thinks he's a tough guy. He's not.
Re: Imagine if Pakistan had as much oil as the Mid East.
Pakistan + Corruption + Oil = another Nigeria... Sad but true...
Re: Imagine if Pakistan had as much oil as the Mid East.
Thank god we dont have any Kashmiris in our army… As bad as we are, you guys are helpless without someone to back you up:hehe:
Re: Imagine if Pakistan had as much oil as the Mid East.
Mo293- you are seriously so gullible. Any fool would believe what some guy says for whatever reason. I could easily dig up many more articles saying the opposite. Unlike you I don’t believe everything i read, just because i want to belive it.![]()
East Pakistan was home ground, Pak army knew full well the situation if India invaded and they failed miserably, hardly ‘fight to the death’ as they brag.
The FACTS speak for themself, but of course brainwashed paindoo’s like you will just make excuses and ignore them. ![]()
Re: Imagine if Pakistan had as much oil as the Mid East.
Some guy, LOL!!! You better do some home work as suggested.
Re: Imagine if Pakistan had as much oil as the Mid East.
Straight from the horse's mouth: Kashmiris were backed up by Sheikh Rashid, who's a Kashmiri. We got financial backing, yes. but no military support. you could have opened up a front in kashmir, but you knew that that would expose La Whore to the Indians. How gallant of you.
