Norway and other European people are fearless when it comes to sending their army overseas for making sure they remain in control. They are stable enough that once their army is overseas, the intellectuals keep the country in the “right” mooring.

Europeans became rich not by having their own natural resources, they became rich by taking away and processing natural resources from other countries. They developed technology, management systems, and strong armies that got the job done.

Pakistan army is fearless (minus some she-generals like Aslama Begum) but Pakistan intellectuals are pipsqueak lefties. The result is that our army is hamstrung due to internal squabbling. If we could use our killer instincts in Middle East and Africa, we won’t have any shortage of oil. It won’t matter if the oil is “from” Pakistan as long as it is oil “for” Pakistan.

the irony of this post is, norway is perhaps one of the few overwhelmingly leftist socialist countries today. antibulbul, time to learn new tricks.

Excuses continue to defend the pathetic surrender by Pak Army. It is Pak Army themseves who say they will fight to death in battle. No Army fights to death on orders of the govt, esp Pak Army who have no respect for any govt.

Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are 2 completely different countries. Unlike those Arabs (Gulf ones) who discovered the good life after oil, a lot of people in the sub continent already knew what a good life was, and our culture emphasizes education and accepts change as a part of life.

If Pakistan did have as much oil and effective leadership, Pakistan would have been a country where education is emphasized and honest hard work is considered the way to get ahead.

That is all a big IF!

its a beautiful vision and thought, but unfortuantly, the more i try to carry on this scenario in my mind, i keep thinking that somewhere down the line, the Kafirs will attack citing Islamic fundamentalism and terrorist activity, theyll then divide and conquer. the country will again be the subject of **** stirring of tribe against race ETC (a la british raj) and when thy ‘coalition’ leaves after 4-7 years of occupation and raping of paki resources…theyll install a puppet govt with a guaranteed air/military base somewhere near KHI/LHE!

kinda like Saudi and Bahrain are today! USAs 51st and 52nd states! with Afghanistan and Iraq being numbers 53 and 54!

IMO, ideally, if the above quoted scenario was a reality, Pak would be a controlled communist/socialist country, wherein everyone works for the state. the people get rich collectively and the whole nation benefits.
